How does he compare to SJ? Thought he was the C of the future?
Guessing this is a kid that will be on the 3 year track to start?

Speaking of, this is year 3 for Mario and Mirabels five OL recruits and so far, only 1 has seen regular minutes. Will any of the other 4 show something this year? If not, that would be a 20 percent hit rate.

What? 2 of them will be 3 year starters here in Cooper and Cece. Two more are likely to start this year out of Markel Bell, Matt McCoy, and tbd on Okunlola. And Previously we had a penciled in starter in Rivers. Really the only spot we haven't "hit" on is Center.

Like it's almost like with that viewpoint it wouldn't be better to hit on a 3-4 year starter lol. At the end of the day there are 5 starting spots. Rivers took up one, and then they hit on two guys who have held down theirs. So that left 2 spots that last two years for what 10 f their recruits to compete?

Hopefully SJ wins starting Center job next year. But next year its going to be a mostly open competition for a lot of jobs....

With the new scholarship rules, it allows the staff to have room for guys like this. Mirabal clearly see’s something in him, so he’s a take in my book. To me, there is absolutely zero risk in taking players like this. Some of you need to relax lol

Room for the take ... OL is so, so critical, and having a kid that is supposedly high football IQ, nasty, with upside, and a legit Center, helps build that "two deep without a drop off" that is needed for those seasons that can go 15-16 games if you go deep.

I think y’all are reading way too much into this. I’m sure he would’ve been a PWO last year. We are going to take a ton of OL every year. We are going to have to in order to have a competent scout team. If come Dec/Feb, he’s our only C commit I’ll start stressing. But April 2nd? I’m losing no sleep over this.

Bell has seen regular minutes and is projected to start this year…Wasn't Cooper a Mario guy? That's 3

I wouldn’t be surprised if we take other guys like this at other positions. These are the type of kids who before the scholarship rule, we couldn’t add because there wasn’t room. Then when they go to another small school and play well, we all ask ourselves how we missed them. There is zero risk in taking Sparks. Worst case is he’s depth piece at center who is a great leader/locker room guy

The board never heard of him so he must stink. Mario and Mirabal know lineman so I trust them.

After watching the tape, he looks like a take for sure. A real mauler on the inside and can pull real well, he will play center and guard here. Reminds me of Buchanan from last year.
