Too bad he sucked major *** in the run game
Are you going off of pff grades that also said our whole line sucked in run blocking (we had 2nd best YPC in power 4 behind ND)

Because that would be an irresponsible take

What's his PFF RBLK grade on the year?

TCU's RBs only averaged ~3.1 ypc (I guess that 6-5 WR who was their most efficient runner actually ran mostly out of the backfield and not on jet sweeps so it's 4 ypc when he's included). Ours averaged ~6.1 ypc.

He's obviously not solely responsible for TCU's inability to run the ball, but I don't think we should expect him to be better at run blocking than Carpenter was. Which is a concern considering how much of our running has been done in the A-gap the last 2 years.

At this point I’d take Drones and run with it and I don’t even think he is good. Inaccurate athlete playing QB is what he is. He looked good against us but everyone except for Mertz did, he was subpar overall throughout the year IMO. We’d have to change quite a bit with him under center.
Drones would be better than what we have now though
