Nah this means even more due to our QB situation

Without the threat to throw our running game needs to be elite - it was this year and this solidified a solid unit next year
Maybe I’m being an ******* here. If qb isn’t fixed we don’t win more than 6 games. We are mediocre again. The buzz goes away, the intrigue goes away. We failed to capitalize on what could have been a SPECIAL season. We wanted to look good for possible confrence realignment—failed. We wanted to get into the playoff- failed. We wanted to matter again— almost, but failed. And if we fall back into that 6-8 win range, we are the same **** we’ve been for 25 years.

He's a great Center in the pass game and should be able to make the blocks on the screens that Lee could but Carpenter couldn't. I think he's clear a step down as a run blocker though. TCU didn't run the ball well this year. Our pass protection should be incredible next year.

Will be interesting to see what we do scheme wise in the run game next year. So much of what we were good at involved the Center getting a push on our up the middle runs, the TE coming in motion and blocking the edge, and Rivers pulling (like on Martinez's long TD against ISU) and obliterating somebody. We'll see what Brockermeyer can do in the ACC inside on runs, same on Lofton replacing Arroyo, but I'll be surprised if we pull Bell like we did with Rivers. We probably pull CiCi a lot more, which could be fun if Bell is able to seal his guy on the edge.

Thank you so much for doing this. I know it’s not easy. Have you ever cut the data looking at top 15 players per position nationally?

a good DC hire and a portal QB away from the playoffs

I like the pickup from the sense it allows us to have a lot of experience on the line and also provides a bridge to SJ… (see what I did there?) lol

That said, my question, is he the type of lineman we can pull? Some of Fletchers best runs this year came behind a pulling lineman. I think I remember hearing that we didnt do that alot because that wasnt a strength of our current linemen?
