Oklahoma State stuff

It looks like everyone that talked to SI had been kicked off the team.

The article never brought up Miles paying, just that it happened while he was coach. From what they are saying, it seems hard to believe he didnt know, but people could probably say the same about Randy.

Read the SI article.
Miles knew. The article says he told kids which boosters to talk to for money.
According to the article Miles and all his coaches were deeply involved.

How could he not know he is the one that opened the door for the boosters to come in lololol

The NCAA has their hands full...dude this is gonna be funny as ****...SI is doing a 5 part series on this
WOW...every week they will release more information...and they still have not ruled on Us.NOw you
have an investigation that has a premiere coach in one of the best teams in the SEC...Yea good
luck running from that ISH...Miami needs to be cleared from all allegations now. and they need
to make an example of the SEC or they are going to see major law suits flying their direction

I think SI is doing this to sell magazines and subscriptions but hey drama and the news sales...that's
why TMZ, Facebook, twitter, etc is so popular...

You guys should read the article in sports illustrated.
The money section is basically all the greatest hits. Pay for performance. No show jobs. Straight up envelopes whenever a player needed money.
Love the part about the boosters traveling with the team and walking down the aisles of planes or buses handing out envelopes stuffed with cash.
The next parts are about academic fraud and rampant drug use by players.
Then everyone's favorite, the ***. Apparently OSU did like Colorado and hired chicks to be *** hostesses for recruiting visits.

It's like Led Zeppelin, The Who, U2, The Stones, Van Halen all wrapped up into one greatest hits album.
WITH ON THE RECORD VIDEO.

The story has been percolating for awhile. I'll just sit back and wait for the media outrage and calls for the death penalty that will never ever come.

People that continue to deny there isn't an agenda or national narrative only do so because they are actively pushing it.

While I'm not in favor of ESPN jumping all over a story like this, assuming guilt, and screaming for the "death penalty," I have to say that the difference in their coverage of this story and the Yahoo! Story about Miami is astounding. When the Miami story broke, ESPN had entire shows dedicated to the story, panels of "experts" discussing, and some outright calling for, the "death penalty." Nothing like that now. Only short segments reporting on the existence of the allegations -- not entire shows and panels discussing it-- before quickly turning their attention to what underwear Johnny Football intends to don against Alabama (they do have panels discussing that..). And during the brief segments on the OSU story, ESPN usually calls into question the credibility of the people making the allegations, suggesting that they are all "disgruntled" ex-players with an "axe to grind." While this may be true, the word of a convicted fraudster with a clear axe to grind against Miami was treated as gospel. ESPN has also harped on how old the allegations against OSU are - many of the allegations are more than 10 years old - and may be barred by the SOL. Then they predict that the NCAA won't be able to prove anything and nothing will come of this...

Perhaps most striking is their absolute refusal to even compare the OSU allegations to those lodged against Miami or to compare Miami's response to them OSU's response. If the allegations pan out, wouldn't Miami's self-imposed punishment be a measuring stick for discussion in the OSU case?

Perhaps ESPN has learned it's lesson from the Miami case and decided they were wrong to call for the "death penalty" 24/7 after the story broke, and decided not to repeat the error; or perhaps there is an enormous double-standard. If the latter, is it because of bias against Miami or is OSU protected because a current SEC coach is implicated (and ESPN has a financial stake in promoting the SEC)?

Probably both...

DEATH PENALTY!!!

SHUT DOWN THE ENTIRE SCHOOL!!!

Where are all the ESPN talking heads calling for their program's demise?

Looks like the NCAA has something bigger to worry about now. Good for them.

Doug gottlieb had Russell okung on his show yesterday and he denied all of this. Gottlieb said so your saying you never got any handouts? Do you put that on your mother(swear on her life)? And he said ill put that on me, That's better.

How much is T. Boone paying the former players to recant? This may become a common extortion tactic in the future.

Look how different this article actually names sources rather than yahoo's article with "anonymous sources" corroborating Shapiro's claims? I'm not saying this story is flawless, but it makes Charles Robinson look like a hack.
