He's a development pick up.Im never gonna dunk on a kid like some here but im still not seeing this pick up. I havent seen one pick in his film. He is not ball savy and he is not an elite athlete. Zero picks while play for STA. Skill position recruits are not hard to evaluate. Get the fast athletic players. The star mongers are right when they say you need them in skill positions. Hopefully he proves me wrong.
Man, I thought he would’ve developed more as an athlete and seen more explosive plays on his Senior tape.
This is very concerning to me.
Then again, I don’t get paid to fill out this roster.
He played both ways and returned kicks for STA! Think of all the players he beat out. And really good players as you noted. Not goin fake like I know DBs but looks like one of, if not the best athletes on a really good team. Really like the take after watching Sr film/highlights
This and ill take a Markese Fitzgerald every class. You grab those types and big game hunt or portal for the needs. Not all kids have to be Philip Buchanans, Duane Starks, Rumphs, Ryan McNeils,etc...Markese Fitzgeralds and players of that ilk are vital as well.
Disclaimer: No one is willing to pay me as talent evaluator either.. lol
I understand what ur sayin but Jesus Christ broLooks to have good length, speed, and quickness
Reminds me of DJ Ivey but less stiff
But OJ is a "fast athletic player".Im never gonna dunk on a kid like some here but im still not seeing this pick up. I havent seen one pick in his film. We'll see man. Hope you rightBut OJ is a "fast athletic player".
And CB's aren't evaluated by how many picks they get. Coaches are evaluating physical traits and whether they'll translate to the next level. OJ is long, fast and has great feet/change of direction. That's what Miami sees in him.
He plays CB, WR and returns kicks at a school that has a roster full of explosive athletes to choose from. That kinda speaks volumes about his athleticism.
