I love that the Mods combine infor because it keeps the boards free of clutter. However, with the amount of information coming in and how quickly it will be coming in, is it possible to keep a summary of allegations and charges that are known for the investigation pinned to the top? I'm sure others would like to just keep a summary. For instance:

Known Allegations as of 2/21/2013
University of Miami: Alleged Lack of Institutional Control
-Per AP, Shapiro provided $170,000 worth of extra benefits to Miami
-$90,000 of that money was in effort to sign Vince Wilfork and Antrel Rolle to a sports agency
-$56,000 was spent on football for "meals, entertainment, clothing, jewlery, travel, lodging and cash" on football players, recruits and staff.
-NCAA alleges that money was spent on 72 then-players, three recruits, and 12 "friends and family members" (this averages out to $643.68 per person)
-Basically all of the players listed had been out of the program from several years
-Per Steve Walentik, NCAA dropped allegation of $10,000 payment for hoops (Jake Morton's NOA)
-Per AP, Shapiro also bought a suit for former Miami star running back Willis McGahee to wear to the Heisman Trophy ceremony in 2002.
-Other allegations include that he paid for dinners at Benihana, televisions, sneakers, Miami Heat tickets, bowling parties, one player's engagement ring, a used washer-dryer set for current New England Patriots lineman Vince Wilfork, and that he directed his girlfriend to give two former Hurricanes no-show jobs for a couple of months."

Frank Haith (Now at Mizzou): Alleged Failure to Monitor
-Did not promote an "atmosphere of compliance" specific to Haith's handling of Shapiro's request for money to keep recruiting violations from going public. Haith paid Shapiro per NOA.
-NOA claims that once Haith learned of the threat, he should have gone straight to Morton and ask reasonable questions to ensure that Shapiro's claims lacked merit.

Aubry Hill (Now unemployed): Per AP reports, will receive Rule 10.1 Unethical Conduct for "Misleading Probe"
-Was not forthcoming about providing extra transportation, meals and lodging to both recruits and current players- 2008-09
-Has petitioned NCAA COI to throw out his case due to investigation process

Clint Hurtt (Now at Louisville): Has received NOA. Per AP reports, will receive Rule 10.1 Unethical Conduct for "Misleading probe."
-Providing illegal transportationand lodgin to recruits in a GRAND TOTAL of $3,315.
-Was not forthcoming about providing extra transportation, meals and lodging to both recruits and current players- 2008-09
-Denied arranging for Shapiro to pay for meals for recuirts, which was contradicted by recruits
-Engaged in improper recruiting of seven studen-athletes from 2006-2009 with two other assistants (those names were redacted from the report)
-ccepting a loan of $2,500 from Shapiro (has been re-paid)-April 2009

Joe Pannunzio (Now at Alabama): Will not receive NOA
-Per AP, is named in Miami's NOA. Very minor infractions, possibly text messages

Jeff Stoutland (Now with Eagles): Will not receive NOA per CBSSports

Jorge Fernandez (Unemployed): Per AP reports, will receive Rule 10.1 Unethical Conduct for "Misleading probe."
-Knowingly provided travel benefits to Reggie Johnson in the form of an airplane ticket to Johnson and his coach. Fernandez denied despite evidence to the contrary (Johnson was suspended 2012 but has been reinstated)
-Has petitioned NCAA COI to throw out his case due to investigation process

Michael Schwartz (Now with Fresno State): Per Michael Casagrande, will not receive a NOA. Former Miami Basketball Assistant

Jake Morton (Now at Western Kentucky): Alleged Inducements to players and recruits in the form of transportation, entertainment in the following instances:
1) Allowing Shapiro to have in-person contact with Marlon Williams and his coach Donovan Kirk in Shapiro's press box at Dolphins Stadium-10/4/2008
2) Arranging for Shapiro to have in-person contact with Mo Hicks and Howard Mitchell, coaches of current Miami basketball player Durand Scott. Also provided both coaches with transportation and entertainment at a night club-10/26/2008
3) Arranged for shapiro to have contact via telephone with Brian Clifton, coach of basketball recruit John Wall. Also arranged contact between Clifton and Shapiro at an off-campus site. Provided impermissable inducements with transportation to Clifton during Wall's official visit-4/2009

Thanks for doing this.

These are also allegations (albeit more general ones) that were included in the Tim Reynolds AP article....

"Shapiro also bought a suit for former Miami star running back Willis McGahee to wear to the Heisman Trophy ceremony in 2002.

Other allegations include that he paid for dinners at Benihana, televisions, sneakers, Miami Heat tickets, bowling parties, one player's engagement ring, a used washer-dryer set for current New England Patriots lineman Vince Wilfork, and that he directed his girlfriend to give two former Hurricanes no-show jobs for a couple of months."

Oh well...Guess we have to forfeit our 2002 national championship.

Boats? Hoes? Abortions?

**** this ****. A suit? Washer/dryer? WTF How does any of this help anyone play better. Alabama has players on steriods and deer antler but its cool? You give a kid a suit to where to a formal event and there's a problem LOL How many of these kids can even afford a suit? I would bet **** near every kid who went to an award ceremony had their suit paid for by someone else. Its not we paid to get them here like Auburn did with Came Newton, which they got off scott free for LOL NCAA is a joke. A ******* ****? LOL Why haven't they gone to Alabama to check out their suit guy if they care about that type of **** so much.

I can't help but read this list and just start laughing that this has taken 2.5 years and so much drama. What is this ****?

Not only has the NCAA dragged out this farce of an investigation, but is still trying to perpetuate the myth, whether indirectly or directly, and the evidence thus far leans toward the latter, that these young men who accept compensation/rewards for what they do on the field are acting immorally. Not only that, but they continue to ignore questionable circumstances in a player like Sharrif Floyd's recruitment, which is probably happening all over the SEC, while they try to round up everybody in South Florida's bar tab in 2006. Devin Hester won't cop to having a tonic and lime and seeing as the bartender at Cheetah has probably moved on to a better life and now lives somewhere in California, we'll just go with guy who has an "interesting proposition, that could make you a very wealthy man." It's ridiculous and embarrassing. Can't be seen any other way.

My favorite allegations are the used washer/dryer for Big Vince, the tvs and the engagement ring. Makes it sound like a classic episode of the Price is Right. I can just hear Bob Barker shouting, "Vince Wilfork, come on down!"

This whole thing is a huge joke. These allegations are minor at best, and the fact we forfeited two bowls and a championship to only get hammered anyway by this corrupt organization drunk on power is unacceptable. They have nothing, they know it, and don't give a ****. I hope our counsel ***** them till their eyes bleed.

its amazing that UNC has this huge cheating scandal with all the athletes and throughout the whole school--i mean fake classes and stuff--and we are the ones getting hammered for a dinner at benihana or a suit etc etc.

i think donna is going to basically do the investigation for them and show them they have no proof. everyone be glad we have a feisty pres--do not feed her past midnite
