The way he was talking all offseason just to be 6-6 with being out coached every game lost everyone man. Same thing with this staffing like the past 3 staffs, loyalty to friends and family.
That’s the worst part of it. I’ve said it before. Manny crashing Willie T’s clinic was funny... until I saw Manny coach.

It’s called being a fan;

I defended Golden once upon a time, using The Butch theory as an alibi to give him a chance;

I justified the Richt hire, using JJ as an example, even went back & forth w a good friend @The Franchise over it.

Manny; I wasn’t a fan of, but our def did improve under his watch & he said the right things. So when OP, who’s been critical of past regimes, gave a thumbs up, y not get pumped about the new guy?

Bumping threads like this just shows we’re not mopes. It shows we’re all fans that want the best and hope for the best. But when a coach shows his ***, we show ours.
And he gave the thumbs up BEFORE he got hired.

But, it is what it is, pimp.

What the ****, WhatTheHell???

I have to say, I was fine with the hire initially. They knew they wanted him and they got him. My concerns really started when he hired his staff. Especially Enos. If you're going to pay that much for an OC, it better be someone with an upward trajectory, not a downward spiral.

I hated the hire initially, just like I hated the Richt hire.

After I calmed down and accepted the reality of it, I talked myself into it like I always do.

I don’t like moping. I prefer to be optimistic. Problem is, when I’m optimistic about the Canes, I’m usually wrong. When I mope, I’m almost always right.

This has been the case since Coker.

The funny part is most of us who were fell for it were the first to see how much of a disaster we had on our hands. Early on. Central Michigan early. But I definately was one of many who fell for it. Probably could find 5 or 10 New Miami threads from. The one I am most embarrassed about was a thread I made about Manny and the coaches crashing FSU coaching summit. They dead keep the streak going but still seems like clown **** now.

I was majorly concerned halftime against UF.

I knew we may be in serious trouble with the lack of feel they had for the offense and the reckless hubris of the gameplan with two freshman first time starters.

Anyone who expected it to be this bad is just a miserable fcking person. Even if you predicted 6-6, nobody would have predicted the specific losses correctly. Nobody.
There's the main thing. It wasn't that we lost, it was that we lost to the bad teams and beat the good ones.

Most of the smart football guys on here knew he was a shiit hire from the start. Guys a fccking loser.

I'm not a "smart football guy" and I called it a **** hire from day 1. My thread explaining why he was a worse hire than Randy Shannon got locked for some reason, but it's in the CIS archives.

Manny says he's ready to get back to working on making us great again

Right after they go to commercial again on Z92 Miami's 24hr Salsa station ....because as we all know....a man's gotta dance

no...definitely not true. Many people were iffy. I hated the hire for a long time, but then jumped on the cautiously optimistic train
@88 since day one I said it was a terrible hire and that he would fail. I also didn't like the Right hire and it was better then the Golden hire and Golden fooled my ***.

When you look back now, it really is a clown show. The clinic crashing, the jewelry, the dancing, the corching, the roster mismanagement, the recruiting mismanagement...
Its so bad, I'm afraid a clown will tell me they all float down here.

So, @Rellyrell

What made ppl turn from the stamp of approval to this bull**** product we see on the field?
We're just another FIU moment waiting to happen.

I’ll post my response I made in this thread, bro:

That’s what I said in 2019. There’s not one fan I know who don’t start w/ hope, even if u have reservations internally. I’ve always stood by never hire from a failed regime, I don’t care if there’s a one-off anomaly, but if we go that route, hey, we start w/ hope, and for me, I was hoping Diaz was the next exception to rule. Why? B/c I, like majority on here, are fans of the program, so we hope for the best.
