Offensive staff with McKitty today

If you are semi-intelligent, you realize Miami is a better fit for your position than FSU. Our second TE had better numbers than their starter.

Now, if other things are involved....what can you do

Alot of these kids I'm sad to admit (tre included) simply see this as a popularity contest. For me this is slightly amusing & shows how all over the place he is. Him & my nephew are good friends & have gone to several games together. When um was playing fsu he was gonna come down with Taron & my nephew & it was mainly so he'd get another chance to see fsu play. He went to multiple fsu games & really wasn't even considering us again cause he felt neglected by this staff when first they were hired. That's why he decommitted. Now if this is legit it really just shows its all about a kids ego & popularity.

A few thoughts on the TE situation:

1. Njoku doesn't "need" the money like others do (e.g., Yearby)
2. Njoku's decision is partially tied to Kaaya (i.e., if Brad stays, Njoku is likely to stay)
3. Irvin has a long way to go
4. Herndon is significantly undervalued by fans, but not the staff

With that said, most believe Njoku will leave unless Brad stays (many believe Brad should stay).
A long way to go where? Can you elaborate, please.

HeSo not physical & he lacks in the other things tight ends do.especially blocking. He needs to learn how to use his hands as more than a reciever I heard heartly tell him.

What do you expect, they're kids. And not just any kids, kids who have been told they are the greatest their whole lives. Is it surprising that they often times turn out to be capricious attention whores? And then when they hit campus and real work is demanded of them, half of them give up? It's cliche, but I blame the parents or whoever is giving them advice.

I absolutely blame the parents cause I went through it,my brother went through it,now two of my nephews are going through it & none of us had that approach. This is a life decision far more so than a simple football for a few years decision & if your people are too stupid & simple minded that they don't pull you back & give you a support system that approaches this for what it is you can really get lost. That's why as much as I would love to see my nephew play for us I sit back & let him approach this through his eyes than come to us for support & opinions. I'm just lucky he loves us as much as he does it guess.

Let's see:

Graham
Olsen
Shockey
Winslow
Walford
etc.
etc.

Now this current staff has developed Njoku into a beast. Can anyone name an FSU tight end that's ever had an ounce of success in college or the NFL?

Bubba Franks getting no love....

Kevin Everett and Richard Gordon made it too.

Dedrick Epps too

Mondriel Fulcher and I believe Asante Cleveland is still bouncing around.

Glenn Dennison- 2 TD's in the '83 NC game. Jets/'Skins

Perhaps it's a coach trying to motivate a young, talented kid. From what I saw, he's no less physical than Njoku a couple years back. He's not the downfield athlete Njoku is, but his hands are cleaner. Let's see how he progresses. What are the "other things TEs do" where he lacks?

Haskins is going to be really good

I really wouldn't be surprised if haskins is switched to de though. He is a huge kid
Very athletic. I agree though he's gonna be very good no matter where we put him.
Actually said earlier this week that I wouldn't be surprised if Haskins turns into a 3Tech. Basically, to play Mcintosh's position. He's a monstrous dude and moves very well for his size. His blocking was really stout in Fall practices for someone of any age, much less a True Frosh. If he can naturally grow to about 280, I think you see the experiment to DT. We don't have a DE position where he can play upfield unless he'd stay slimmer.

David Njoku would be wasting his time playing college football for free. He's an NFL player right now. Look at the last 3 games of the season, Njoku makes it look too easy out there.

Brad Kaaya should stay because he doesn't make it look effortless at this level yet. He needs to get stronger. Andrew Luck, Manning, Matt Ryan, & Russell Wilson stayed for 4 years (Luck was redshirted).

He's a TE. He used to be a QB and has great feet. Now he'll be a very athletic TE. Leave 3Tech to dudes who can't be great TEs. Jimmy Grahm could have been a good De, but he's a GREAT TE.

Like I said, let's see how he grows. I've given him a bunch of credit for what he showed in fall camp as a TE. He's young as **** and is already something like 260-270, I'm told. If he naturally grows to 280-285 before he turns 20, it's smart to consider best fit for his future ($). How many near 300 pound TEs do you see in the NFL? One of the least favorite things I see college coaches do is keep kids artificially slim or artificially bloated (like Chickillo).

I'm all for moving him from TE to DT like Sapp.

I think he could be a solid TE, but his lateral quickness could make him a special interior lineman. It kinda reminds me of Joe Jackson's absurd TE film. He probably could've been a first round pick at TE, but he could be a top 5-10 pick and game-changer at DE if he continues to develop.

If you are going to be drafted in the first 3 rounds you leave college as quickly as possible.

Too much risk otherwise.

A third rounders first contract is approx 4 year $3.0 - $3.5 mil dollars per year (signing bonus from $800k - $1 mil)

Very few kids improve their stock from Junior to Senior year with the exception of QB.

Derrick Henry was picked in the mid 2nd round. He is the 37th highest paid RB of 160 in the NFL. 5.4 mil deal over 4 years.

No.

My lil cousin is Physical and he will give max effort. We are pretty well at TE right now but he will impress. Are you speaking from watching a few clips from video?
