Again No D' Ofrio is just bad.

664 total yards and 37 points.

Had they not gifted us some turnovers it would have been worse.

State WR got stripped when they were about to score on one drive and they had another turnover deep in our territory.

I give him credit for being a bit more aggressive. A believe that his calls were responsible for the fumble from the weakside blitz and the confusion when the WR broke off his route and Finnie picked it off. Thats two TO forced by being aggressive. I would rather give up points and at least get a couple of those like today in order to give the ball back to our strength the O.

But No D' Ofrio had no answer after the first couple of series. N.C.State's O coordinator just owned him. I see other schools and coaches get better results with less talent.

Jedd Fisch

Frustrating like Morris. 600 yards of offense yet we were horrendous in the redzone.

Our offense is as dangerous as any in college football but it seems like its either feast or famine with Fisch.

And he still gets too cute too often. He has such a preference for finess. Even when we ran today we ran way too many strech plays and outside runs and not enough between the tackles.

I'm harder on Fisch because he has more to work with.

There just ain't much on defense right now.

It all starts with our DTs getting blown off the ball. It snow-balls from there.

D's job ain't made easier by Fisch's O. If our O has more talent than our D, you'd think a more balanced running attack would make sense.

we don't have the ability to run. our OL creates no holes. any kind of running gain results from duke making multiple defensive players (at or behind the line of scrimmae) miss.

Our tackles are bunch (6'6", 330 lbs., strongest guy on team); Henderson (6'10", 680 lbs., strongest man in the history of Western Civilization); Flowers (...); Jones (...). Feliciano, Linder, Johnson, ... wtf. @ this team not being able to pound the ball. Makes no sense.

I don't understand it, either.

I haven't rewatched the games. I don't know if teams are crowding the box, and forcing Morris to beat us or what.

Teams are getting way too much penetration.

I think that is solely on Fisch. Coaching staff needs to sit down and get this worked out. A lack of Balance almost cost us a game we should have won by 3 TDs today.

D'Onofrio actually showed me something today. We've tightened up the coverage (major improvement from game 1).
Deon Bush played in the box quite a bit. We showed different blitz looks.

DP was out. Fentress is playing solid minutes @ LB (think about that). And we created 6 TOs.

Not sure what you mean by gift wrapped. We stripped the ball (which we know coach D teaches), we had an INT, and we blitzed and forced a fumble.

D'Onofrio is still a liability... but he called a more aggressive game today than ever before. The offense didn't capitalize on any of the **** TOs or we win this in a route.

NOt hating on Onofrio today..,he called a dam good game...ill give up 660 yards if we get 6 turnovers!!!

I was at the game today and was watching the d.

They will be a **** of a D when we get recruits on the line.

The secondary can only do so much when the QB has all day to throw.

The guys up front are busting their asses but simply are over matched.

This D WILL be great in a few years.

What did you see from the oline? On the teevee it looked like they were getting no push all day.

I watched Bunche today, and he just misses on so many run blocks. I really wonder why he gets so much playing time.

Only morons think every TO is "gifted".

Ironic post is ironic

100% agree with this assessment. Our D is severely undermanned and too young. Almost no Dline talent with any experience (they can pound Chick since there are no other threats yet on the line) gives the QB unlimited time. This group is what is keeping the GT's and NCSTs in games. I actually think D'onofio needs more time to see what he can do with a healthier, more mature squad.

As far as Fisch, I think he gets way too cute. WTF was that pass call on 1st and goal from the 2!. The Oline is pretty solid (for a change) and he has playmakers at RB and WR. The QB has a gun, but I cannot figure out what type of offense he is trying to establish. Maybe these games are smokescreens for the FSU, ND and VT games..nahh.

It is absolutely maddening and inexplicable. If it is not resolved quickly, ND and FSU's def lines are going to make the K st debacle seem like a nail biter.

But virtually every time fisch runs in short yardage situations, we get nothing, unless the rb breaks a couple tackles. Don't you think fisch would pound it up the gut if he had even a shred of confidence that the OL would get a push?

Part of running the ball is attitude. You may get a bunch of 2 yard gains before you find a rhythm.

If we don't rip off a couple 7-yard gains, we abandon.

W/ our porous defense, we cannot afford the luxury of multiple 3 and outs trying to establish a running "attitude."
