Not sure about this one. Him and O will hate each other by week 6. Two alpha-dogs going at it.
Just 11 days after he was hired at Cuse, Mike Leach gets the steal...
Zach Arnett is one of the best young DC's in the business, wish Diaz would've replaced Baker with him.
Great move & great hire by Leach.
UGA hired Todd Monken as OC. Interested in seeing what happens with Coley and how he takes the demotion.
USC hires Todd Orlando just 4 days after he was hired at TTech.
Does anyone actually WANT to live in Syracuse?I think it had more to do with the job itself & the access to talent.
As a DC I'd much rather coach & recruit at a program like Miss St in a region that produces NFL players annually & is much easier to recruit, than to be at a Basketball school in the Northeast that is very difficult to get top quality defensive talent.
The amount of very good DT's, DE's & LB's in the heart of SEC country in Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, the Carolinas, Louisiana etc, that you can recruit & actually land would be enough for me to take that job over the Cuse gig.
It sure is, precisely why we need to be scouring the country to find a legit WR's coach.**** it’s grimey season out here
Kiffin brings in Deke Adams to replace Freddie Roach as DL's coach.
Adams coached at Southern Miss with Fedora, then went to UNC with him, then coached at South Carolina for Spurrier's last stint, then went to East Carolina on Scottie Montgomery's staff, then back to UNC briefly with Fedora, then at Miss St last year.
Miami should take notes from Baylor on how to run a successful football program while being a small private school.Baylor making moves.
Completely agree. They were far worse off than us and more recently. They've fully supported and invested in their football program because they truly want it.Miami should take notes from Baylor on how to run a successful football program while being a small private school.
Absolutely, what they are doing in Football, Mens and Women's Basketball and stadium and locker room improvements are impressive. They actually care.Miami should take notes from Baylor on how to run a successful football program while being a small private school.
No lol.**** L, do you ever sleep?
The AD and specifically the head coach would have the power to say no to Alonzo Highsmith anywhere in the country. A functional football program would have the coach decide on who the GM would be. Aranda a first time HC probably wants one of his guys handling some things so he can focus on coaching. We're so dysfunctional that BOT members with no real power tried to backdoor Highsmith into position forgetting that they're in no position to make final decisions as it turned out.Completely agree. Miami has Blake James and Manny Diaz with the power to say no to Alonzo Highsmith. Lulz
No it should be the opposite. No first year 6-7 corch should be able to override the administration and bot or boosters over someone with far more success and experienceThe AD and specifically the head coach would have the power to say no to Alonzo Highsmith anywhere in the country.
