Notre Dame -15.5

Bethune Cookman, Boston College, and NC State all have bad offense so I'm not sure if that really is a legit point to bring up.

The problem is they have a legit defense with a front seven that can wreak havoc. Te'o will be a big problem for us, much worse that Arthur Brown was, you can guarantee that. They're very formidable against the run (See Navy game and Leveon Bell shutdown). Compare this, we've given up 1128 rush yards in five games and Notre Dame has given up 450 in four. They have what's needed to force Morris to beat them with his arm.

They have a great scoring defense because they keep teams out of the redzone, count 10 attempts against them in four games. Their rushing game is similar to NC State in terms of production and we just let the Pack gash us for 224 yards.

We do have an edge is the kickoff/punt coverage and return games, however with 10 touchbacks in 23 tries, I don't know how many chances we're going to get returning the ball.

Miami Rush O = ND Rush D
Miami Pass O > ND Pass D
Miami Rush D << ND Rush O
Miami Pass D < ND Pass O
Miami ST > ND ST

I still have faith. If we can contain their young QB and get pressure off the edge, we'll be alright. We also need to limit the penalties and take care of the ball as much as possible.

if we win, it will be because of our passing game. i believe that as long as our passing game is performing well (and it could improve dramatically from the GT game and the NCST game), we have a fair shot at winning this game. It appears we have the talent to outscore many, many teams. Catch a few breaks, and we win this game.

If we start poor like at KState, then we are doomed.

Our passing game can improve dramatically from the GT and NCSt game? Can't think of a gif that can clearly present my confusion.

U would think they destroyed the competition the way they talk about them. Most games this year ai will b concerned. The D hasnt showed me n e thing so hopefully Morris balls out but we have a great chance at stomping ND.

Michigan isn't good this year. At all. Michigan wasn't exactly destroyed by ND. We have a much better passer in Morris than Michigan has, and at least a decent offensive line with great depth (I think we're far better than decent but I want to be objective).

Offensively we can play with ND. Defensively, we need a few key stops and maybe a turnover or two. Throw in some good returns and punts for position, this is a winnable game not requiring intervention by God or anyone else.

Wow, Johnny Avello really opened a low number, -8.5 at Wynn. I don't know how he came up with that. All the power ratings had it in the -13 range, while applying home field or 2/3 home field. Avello must not have used a home field allowance at all. The -8.5 was popped immediately, and likewise the subsequent numbers.

I give Avello lots of credit. He'll go first and not be concerned with offshore odds. In fact, he told me during college basketball season that he doesn't trust the offshore joints.

Avello hangs the first number in Las Vegas. If you want the true opening Las Vegas number that was bettable, look at the Wynn opener, not the so-called opener on that VegasInsider site, or the consensus, whatever that is. Avello always liked to go first when he ran Bally's and it's the same at Wynn. I will say that he has a tendency to be light on certain favorites, a trend that has held up for two decades in college football and overnight college basketball, but I'm not going to specify it.

There's no way they cover that spread. Our guys have already been humiliated and I know they don't want to feel that way again. Especially in primetime on national television.

Too much fight and pride in our guys to let that happen again.

We go as far as our offense takes us in this game.

I can see us scoring 3 or 43.

Our speed will be minimized by the elements. If we're going to beat ND we're going to have to out-tough them in the trncshes.

this a home game for them even though we are the home team. if this was played in miami i say the canes have a better chance to win but its not.

This is a game where we speed things up to keep ND off balance and on their heels. If it works, it works, if it doesnt, oh well. We arent going to line up and knock them back, so spread them out, get in tempo and be smart with the football. Poster above is right, we can win this game without 6 turnovers and a miracle. Its strength on strength and weakness on weakness. Lets get in a shootout, its worked so far.

Confident in our OL but there no way our DL can get a push we need playmakers recruits desperately there. (DT)

Opening line was -9 in favor of ND and its been growing sense. I think a lot of people have hammered that because of our showing against KSU. A 39 point loss to the only ranked team we faced have a lot of people thinking blowout. I think Vegas will make a killing on these idiots.

If we can protect Morris we win this game.

Morris and our WR core will LIGHT UP their secondary.

I like us in revenge games, not to mention the bad taste Morris has from the Sun bowl.

We need one of the greats to lay down a pep talk to get these kids, to get them going before the game.

i'd like to see more golson than rees in this game.. but we know if they're not doing so hot rees will get the nod.

This is not an unwinnable game, but we need some breaks to get the W. We have to win the TO battle, can't give them any easy TDs or short fields. As someone said earlier, punting is okay at times, make their offense go a long way to score. A big play on ST would really help as well. Lets face it , they are going to put points on the board against our D, but I think we can score some points on them. They are good on D but not Bama or LSU good

They need to get out fast, not dig a hole early. This is the first hyped game for a lot of these kids. OL needs to step up. We know the defense sucks.
