Seems like an odd placement for the Savannah game. Usually a joke of a game like that would be very early or very late. Ah well.

really hope per article that 9/14 is not our bye week. too early in season and before a FCS game. need our bye week during acc season

We could start out 4-1 and set the stage for a nice season.

HOWEVER, we could also start out 5-0 and change to whole perception of the program. The is the best August/September schedule that we've had in a long time. GO CANES!!!!!!!!!!!

9/21: Savannah State :ohlord:

I'm with you. If we're going to schedule doormats, at least make it a doormat in FBS. We have no business playing Savannah State.

Or at least schedule it before UF or a possible conference championship game like the SEC does.

Joke of a game also in a meaningless spot. Do not want.

It's about $. We only have to pay Savannah St. about $400K. We'd have to pay an FBS team closer to $1 million. The other solution is to do what we did recently with FAU and sign a 2-for-1 contract. However, lower FBS teams seem to be doing that less nowadays and would rather have the $.
