IMO they should've stayed in the Big 12

Except 1) Tom Osborne hated how Nebraska got treated in the Big 12, particularly compared to Texas and 2) The Big 10 offered a LOT better financial deal, particularly at the time (and now as well). And the Big 10 was happy to have them.

Why can't you just be happy for the kids? Have you ever been to Nebraska? Beautiful state with nice people. Love that these kids are getting their shot and a good education.

First, because I'm a Canes fan, not a ND, FSU or Nebraska one. I have zero connection to either the state or the school. So I don't give a f whether they succeed under Frost or anyone else. As a matter of fact, since they've beaten us before, I actually hope he fails and they continue to suck, so if we ever play again, we'll beat their ***.
Second and more importantly, I'm not a Kkkanes fan like you. I don't hold white supremacist views, so I don't give a f how much you klansmen love "white" schools and states like Nebraska. You can cheer for them and Wisconsin, etc. because of their "Norwegian" looks. I'll cheer for the Canes like I always have, regardless of how "s Hole" like they look.

If Miami can win they will always have their pick. FSU and UF will get their pick of kids who want a large campus and want to stay in state. Bama will get the number 1 WR in Florida because they have shown they will win and throw to that 1 guy 15 times a game. Everyone else is open Season.

Nebraska really has to get back to the roots of college football and build the kids for 5 years. They need to play a different game to get the results they want. They had the template and Went away from it and Wisconson kelp with it and has done better than the talent in the state would have you expect.

While speed is great it is toughness that is also needed. Jeff Thomas needs some of that. Stacy Coley needs some of that. And as we saw this year a little luck goes a long way. Nebraska got beat by Miami in 2001 championship and leaders felt like they needed to be Miami or FSU or USC and tried to get coaches with passing offenses to get there. Never realizing Miami and FSU and USC only won when they had greatness at the OL and DL positions. And Nebraska will never out recruit the top 20 schools for the top QB’s and Wr’s and OT’s to make that offense happen.

What Nebraska can do is what KANSAS St has down and what Wisconson has done and that is to make runs every 3-4 years with mature teams that are run heavy and QB tough with some luck on D. If Frost can get a kid from SoFlo and one from Dallas and a couple from Cali and a couple from Texas with the common theme that they were all passed up by the name school in their state and they are going to work with that chip on their shoulder that is how they can become sucsessful. It is not the Miami way but with a state of 1.7 million that is a processs for success. The fact that Miami lost to Kstate and Nebraska and Wisconson is a testament to the fact that Miami recruited the wrong kids in a pool of great talent. Miami recruited fast overrated weak kids and let productive football players walk and that should never be tolerated.

Saw the link with Florida kids to Nebraska and the list was weak. So many Florida kids that were brought up were smallish. T Frazier was perfect for the offense run but the best player in my mind was Tyrone Williams. Guy was one of the best corners Nebraska ever had and played on those championship teams and was unfazed by the talk. Was fast and tough. Played great for Green Bay for so many years with the task of trying to cover Randy Moss. Moss has a couple of highlights vs T Will but most of the time Williams kept Moss in check. He was so underrated but while I was there he never needed the safety help and they could roll it over to the other side or slip a Safety in the box to wait on slants or blitz all because of Williams.

Just picked up commitments from two of the most productive playmakers in Broward, RB/WR Miles Jones and WR Dominick Watt.

If he can build up his skill positions and defensive backfield with local guys like this, it will give that program a serious boost.
