Tears Nole Tears (“Offcial”)

It’s good for our schedule/entertainment and college football to have a strong Miami and FSU simultaneously. With that said they can stay down forever until we come back and win a couple championships.

FSU Miami gives me too much of the feels to wish away that rivalry for good.

I like how their fanbase incessantly ***** on the south FL and talks about how they would never want to live there, but then they expect kids who live there to want to come and live/go to school by them.

Even weirder, a good segment of the SemenHole (or Gaytor) fanbase is not from Talla-*******-hassee (or Hogtown). And, sure, a college town may be a nice change of pace or a good lifestyle choice for SOME people. But many SemenHoles and Gaytors grew up in...Miami...or Fort Lauderdale...or West Palm...or Orlando...or Tampa...or St. Pete...or Clearwater...or Jacksonville.

This misplaced fantasy that every single kid from an urban area will only enjoy one particular college lifestyle choice...or wants to live in a college town...or wants to play in front of a larger crowd with (potentially) fewer close family members and friends...is just ridiculous.

If someone really, really likes Tally or Hogtown, good for them. But it's the narrow-minded SemenHoles and Gaytors that can't possibly fathom that there are different strokes for different folks, and some people may actually prefer to go to school in a larger town or city.

My favorite is the racist comments about our players yet they go after those same players they are calling thugs.

I personally have been to Tally(more) and Gville, but never really thought much of either town. In my day Ft. Lauderdale was Spring Break central and Miami was where you partied. Most of my relationships (female)and frat bros I hung with were from SOFL. In fact all would like to brag about being from SOFL. Love your school but be real about Tally and Gville. They suck!

"If they ain't with us they're against us. FK EM!" ....

These FSU fans are living in D'Nile. I remember that time, Shannon through early Golden, when we all conned ourselves into thinking we were still relevant, only a handful of years since our Natty. It doesn't end well. See you in 10-15 years Nolies.

Precisely.

If these were such amazing towns, more people would stay there. Tallahassee is the state capital, so there are government jobs galore (oh, except for the fact that Florida often needs to establish satellite offices in real cities where people actually want to live). And Gainesville has an amazing proximity to Tampa/St. Pete/Clearwater, Orlando, AND Jacksonville, not to mention the highest ratio of doctors to residents of any county in Florida. Why don't people want to live their either, they actually just got a Cheesecake Factory?!

Especially during Summer A…Gville was horrible.

We all play this game. Miami fans are always sure every out-of-state kid hates the cold and pines for the nightlife of South Beach.

In our defense, we're not a bunch of toothless inbred morons, so we've got that going for us.

I would simply say this. We may all hae opinions, but we certainly do not all play the same game.

First, we should observe that the general inclination to believe that northerners enjoy escaping cold weather is based, you know, on the millions of full-grown adults who have migrated to Florida over the past 100 years. Many of us are not substituting our own personal opinion that Florda is "better", but merely observing what millions of people have done, when given a choice of where to live.

Second, I don't think it is too wild to recognize that South Beach is pretty different and represents a substantial contrast to most other places in the US. If a recruit goets to Gainesville...well, there are dozens of similar college towns scattered across the US. But there's only one South Beach. There's only one Las Vegas. There's only one New Orleans. There's only one NYC. ****, if more of the great/unique cities in the US had universities with good football teams, maybe we would face stiffer competition.

Anyhow, I can't speak for everyone, but I can certainly say that I have never questioned a SoFla recruit's desire to go away for college, or to move to a quiet college town. That is each person's prerogative. Even if a recruit does not fully know what to expect, that is his adult right to choose where to go for college.

But I can also appreciate it when a recruit comes from a smalller town and is impressed by Miami's size and diversity and vibrance, because that is what I experienced when I enrolled in the 1980s.

Then FTL had that vice mayor that pushed Spring Break away by being all moral and later turned up on Kathy Willets' client list IIRC.

I'll just leave this here...

Norvell's resorting to Manny tactics. He's trying to create some hype around a team that hasn't gone to a bowl game in 3 years. Under Norvell, FSU is 3-6 and 5-7. So, I guess they're moving in the right direction. Perhaps they reach 6-6 and get to a bowl game next season.

Lol that idiot really believes that?? Wow…
We're not loosing to Pitt. We beat them at their place going against a 1st round QB. Not happening!!! Just an FSU fanboy trying to feel good about himself.

We got the 4th quarter program, and Corn Roll Mike is making music videos with his players.

We need to serve up another FSU beatdown like the last time they were at HardRock!!!!
