Nolan smith...

Agreed. Both coaches and both schools seem to be doing better with how everything worked out. Who cares about a team thats not on the schedule and a conference away. If Miami and UGA ever meet in the playoffs the hate makes sense, but right now its just weird. UGA just had its best year since 1981 and Miami since 2003. Doubt any fan would want to trade coaches.

They had as good a season as 2012. The only difference is the playoffs. Without the playoffs, UGA aint in the championship game!

the sec east is trash. UGA will run that side for awhile...so i fully expect uga to be a problem moving forward. Them f's had 1 good year and recruited better than Bama imo...they are gonna be cooking. GA is uga's state technically they have a better chance of getting who they want in the state...with a small fight from clemson on 1 or 2...auburn in the south on or 2..and Bama head up. Other than that its theirs...its not like s.fla with everyone camped out...and they can still supplement with florida talent..which they will do as long as coley's there.

UGA will not maintain the momentum if they continue to lose to Bama. They certainly won’t beat them this year and could very likely lose to Auburn as well.

Translation: Kirby knows how to play the bag game and Richt does not.

I'm pretty sure Richt knows the bag game as well as anyone. He just refuses to play it.

Hugh Freeze knew the bag game well too, look how that worked out. Unless your Bama (who is untouchable), it's a big risk to recruit that way

Uga has had georgia to itself always. They arent a championship program and never will be. Just the way things are. They can be like auburn or clemson and win once every 35-40 years but that’s it.

On top of that we're going up there and snatching some pretty good recruits.

Any state with talent (see: southern states & California) can transform overnight with the right head coach and/or a true difference maker type player(s) (see: Vince Young, Leinart/Bush, Dalvin/Jameis, Sony/Chubb, Tebow/Percy, Cam Newton, etc). I don't know if Kirby's that guy at HC or not - I tend to think they're going to regress the next few years. However, they'll be dangerous because the media will push them heavily as an SEC rival to Alabama, and when the media gets on that train they can be very influential to the masses of low-IQ ESPN watchers (unfortunately that includes a lot of recruits and the people recruits are surrounded by).

What I don't understand is why this board keeps bringing up Georgia information. Until they are on the schedule or we meet them in bowl season. Quit posting that Bulldog Sh*t

When Richt was hired, a good many people fell in the camp that he underachieved there. That was the first time I ever heard the narrative that he had his hands tied by the AD.

I related his situation to being at a job for a long time and you kind of get in a rut with it, doing the same things that mostly work, rather than trying to find a more efficient way of doing things. Sometimes its best to move on at that time, get reinvigorated, and its what I hoped was the case with him. An extra incentive to that was its his alma mater.

You look at the end of the season and its only natural that people try and excuse away the end of the season which starkly contrasts that of Smart.

I'm not going to get into a debate about that or anything. It's human nature to try and validate our coach, not saying he needs that at all, but that's the case with all of the UGA news IMHO. In this particular case, it's newsworthy here due to the direct mention of Richt himself.

You are way off. The Athletic Department was all over riches ship. They made him hire Jeremy Pruitt and they had a pretty rocky relationship if I do remember correctly.

Yes, that's a popular opinion around here.

Richt doesn't strike me as the type to put up with that kind of crap, but in these times if its repeated enough online, it must be true.

Not so much that he is a loyal man. Still is loyal to Georgia after what those ******** did to him. He was staying till they made him leave.

Am I the only one that thinks it's weird our "fans" stay white knighting for other teams/coaches?
It's beyond revolting. That's why I've started the "sng ruffled panties seniority police sabam yanker girl scout troop " Funny thing is the more you post they come out of hiding with petty feelings. But I will say they're a spineless group.

But I will say Hurracanes is a straight up dude. He changed his Cane Shades and now hemorrhages Orange and Green more than ever.
