Nolan smith...

If I had to guess, I'd say kirby didn't let the boosters run so much as demand that they do so. He probably told the AD that he could win big, but there were a number of things UGA would have to do for him, and I'm guessing most of them had to do with money.

Of course there's $ involved; Kirby is from the Saban tree. Everyone should know that. That has nothing do with what he said though imo. His opinion is based off of what UGA did in Smart's first year; take Richt's recruits to the NC. Whatever Smart and his staff did was something Richt and his staff couldn't. Them making it to the NC had nothing to do with $ in other words.

What was that, lose 2 games in his second year at UGa while Richt only lost one? You realize Georgia went 8-5 in Kirby’s first year?

He’s just a dumb kid who doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Hopefully he hasan awful career, fails out of school, and ends up homeless.

UGa is a wannabe program and Richt and his players already took them as far as theyll go. Can’t wait to see them go 8-4 this year.

I don’t care what a KID says. I still never wish anything bad on anybody. Won’t root for them but that’s as far as I go.

Kid is a special kind of dumb. Funny that the minute Richt got here, we started towards building an IPF. It's not Richt, it was the sorry *** AD at UGA.

Sorry, but I don't buy that Nolan Smith's axe to grind with Richt is purely because Smart is now winning at UGA. That makes no sense. there's something amiss with a kid like Smith that would make him take shots at a guy like Richt as often that he does. Did Richt ***** his mom or something?

The $$$ he's getting from Kirby has EVERYTHING to do with what he's saying about Richt. You think if Richt slapped 100k into his palms, that Nolan would be saying those things about Richt? You either retarded or a troll. lmao.

What kind of weirdo laughs at their own jokes?

Everyone forgets that in his 2nd year, Richt had UGA at 13-1 and would have been in a 4 team playoff that year had it existed. So anyone saying Kirby did what Richt couldnt is totally misinformed. Also the one loss for Richt that season wasnt a blowout 40-17 like Kirby's loss to AU.

Other schools working to get Haselwood on their campus this spring or summer are Auburn, Florida, LSU, Miami, Tennessee, UCLA and USC to name a few. He said Miami is a school he is leaning towards taking an official visit to at this time, but nothing is scheduled.

I got this out of an article about Jordan Haselwood, # 1 WR in the country per se. He will be at Oklahoma middle of April on his birthday and his father went to OU, so he followed them growing up. He also took a visit to OU last year and really liked it. Think he's going to their spring game.
Kid seems pretty locked in to UGAy, but if we can get him to come for a visit...you never know.

>Richt didn't do a bad job
>But now we have somebody who knows what he is doing

Both teams got exactly what they needed. To win in the SEC you must pay for players. Richt didn't want to do that. Kirby does.

To win at Miami in the ACC you needed a guy who could recruit with the big boys, by keeping kids home and do it successfully without paying players. Richt is perfect for that.

What I don't understand is why this board keeps bringing up Georgia information. Until they are on the schedule or we meet them in bowl season. Quit posting that Bulldog Sh*t

must’ve missed it , this dude had something to say about Richt previous to this ?

We’re getting #6 sooner than later and they’ll still be thinking about a Herschel ring. Too much animosity for a coach will be their downfall.

I'm not writing off what Smart did. But a team led by Richt's recruits and no injuries. He's recruited like a monster, so he has the talent to sustain winning. But he just seems like a Golden, McElwain, Butch Jones type of corch who will lose his grip over the team over time. And we saw Jimbo's talented FSU team fall apart very quickly once everyone saw that the emperor had no clothes.

Who knows. B Kelly has somehow managed to do reasonably well at ND and I think he's an idiot. Maybe Smart will somehow sustain 10 wins a year like Richt did at Georgia, given the talent and $$$ available to him. But I just cannot see him breaking into the elite HC category and winning ships.

Agreed. Both coaches and both schools seem to be doing better with how everything worked out. Who cares about a team thats not on the schedule and a conference away. If Miami and UGA ever meet in the playoffs the hate makes sense, but right now its just weird. UGA just had its best year since 1981 and Miami since 2003. Doubt any fan would want to trade coaches.
