Walk-ons will still exist.

The amount of kids leaving schools each year for the portal continues to grow, so i doubt any school is going to be at full capacity to the 105 limit.

What it will do it take away opportunities for kids who lack the talent to really play but want to be part of the team anyway. Those kids will lose their spots to upside recruits, upperclassmen on scholarship who are just riding out their eligibility while they graduate, or preferred walk-on types.

NCAA killed the walk on programs for lots of schools today

Do you mean that many schools can't afford to provide a full scholarship to another 20 football players? That certainly could be true outside of the P4. But my guess is that most programs are going to convert many of their PWOs to scholarships. How many PWOs do P4 and G5 teams typically have? If it's more than 20, then someone is losing a chair when the music stops. But if it's under that, then this may end up expanding the number of spots and benefit former walkons.

I read that the average roster size for an FBS team was about 130 players so each team's going to end up cutting around 25 players from their program just to get to the limit.

As far as the cost, Its going to be interesting because its not just the 20 schollys for football, but the additional ones that are needed to keep the school title 9 compliant as well.

Dabo's a former walk-on so of course he's ****ed hes got to kill the dreams for a bunch of these guys
