N'Kosi Perry Re-commits

still not sold on this guy (I refuse to get behind a QB with a name like "N'kosi").

Maybe he's not as bad as I'm thinking as both Richt and Coley apparently like him....we shall see.

Credit goes to the Richts. They got their guy. Perry made the right decision. He will develop pro skills like Jameis Winston.

Jameis? Perry doesn't have that kind of upside....not even close. If we are lucky, perhaps a Trevone Boykin type (which I'll be happy with). Still think he's just another Rosier.

Not saying he will be that good. More of a comment on choosing a pro-style offense over a spread.

I think you are wrong on this one amigo. He has elite upside. Dude throws a beautiful ball. And like another poster stated, he has real pocket presence -- he's a throw first guy who just happens to be extremely athletic and can run. Look at some of those throws he's making in his junior clips. Drops the ball in a basket all over the field. Not putting him in Jameis's league, but Boykin is not his ceiling.

After Kevin Olsen you might want to chill on evaluating qbs lol. Scouts compare Perry to Ward and Winston, so I think he's a little better than what you think .

IMO you're way off on the comparison but we'll see, everyone is entitled to their opinion

Olsen didn't flame out because of his skills/talent. he was just an idiot off the field. has nothing to do with 'evaluating'.

Olsens talent is nowhere in Perrys stratosphere , not close .

Perry blows him away at every physical trait . Olsen had an average arm, he was skinny, weak and average athlete . I said that from the moment he committed. I never saw the hype .

Even his HS career was meh and had zero intangibles , which we found out later down the road

Interesting thing about that is that they are fairly the same size and has the same type of qualities as far as throwing ability and mobility. Jameis Winston was well short of 200 pounds before he got to Fsu. And then that redshirt year he gained about 25-30 pounds

Jameis winston was about 20 pds bigger than this kid coming into college

Olsen was terrible on the field as well. His spring game was abysmal and there was major concerns at Qb after Ryan Williams was lost for the season.

@DMoney, How does Perry compare to Dwayne Lawson?

Lawson was bigger. That guy was a moose. Perry is shiftier and seems quicker to pull the trigger. Haven't seen him in a full game, though.

For those who were complaining about Allison's stats, Perry's numbers are astronomical. He threw 32 TDs, 2 INTs and finished second in Florida's Mr. Football.

Yeah, Jameis was bigger. The comparison was more about their football IQs and how they fit in a pro-style system. They are point guard-type QBs who spread the ball and see the field.

Fortunately, we won't need him as a RSF. He can develop behind Allison.

He's a super talent , put up great stats and jumps off the screen with his physical ability .

One of the few guys who's a really good athlete but still plays from the pocket first .

agree with u 100%. Will never see meaningful minutes for us. Talent wise there is a reason UF and FSU did not offer. Richt needed to use his Georgia connections and get Baily Hockman or Trevor Lawrence this year. They both the have all the goods to be very good.

and it looks like Hockman may end up at Alabama now. I am completely floored that Richt didn't make him a priority.

Because Richt wants Perry, he sees a Charlie ward skill set to his game . Which makes sense since he's supposedly going back to more of his fast break offense .

Now that's a solid TD:INT ratio....

I'm glad he recommitted....our QB depth is better than it's been in a long while....

Lots of huge-time players from Florida who didn't have offers from all three....

Or you could go back 15-20 years for an example of a player badly missed by all 3 - Steve Hutchison who was a big-time center at Michigan and a perennial NFL all-pro....

Of course, USC and UCLA didn't offer Kaaya - USC did very late in the recruiting season...I'd say that Kaaya is working out just fine....

The HC may know something about QBs, too - since he is one....

Uga folks say Hockman is a sh*tty teammate at mceachern and had a bad attitude

Maybe it's nothing to be worried about, but I'd prefer for Perry not to be taking two more visits this week considering he already decommitted from us once. Hopefully he shuts it down after he takes those visits.

Always helps when the premier QB commit in your class leads by example with the way they handle their recruitment.
