Never a good sign when a potential DB prospect has like 1 defensive highlight and it exposes bad man covg and tackling technique.

But on the bright side he's easily a Miami caliber athlete who could be a potent vertical threat and special teams weapon.

I'd bet he's a WR sooner or later and it looks like he can play. Sorry to the crybabies who think this is a wasted scholarship and evidence that the AH corners are gone.

They don’t feel good about Surtain or Campbell, but even if they did, this was coming. This is not connected to those two.

Pete, has Campbell or Surtain even committed to coming in for an OV? I have seen some people mention Feb. 2 but I don't know if I have seen anybody actually confirm that they will be coming.

He has the traits and mind to develop. 6'1, 4.3 and smart from the top team in Dade. Note the first play against Central.

My favorite play is at 4.30. Note the quick feet he has making the spin during the catch while running at speed. That right there is what you want at CB, quick feet which helps the CB be agile at high speed.

This kid is my prototype CB. 6' - 6'-1" about 175-185 lb, long, lean, quick feet, smart, and SPEED.

Love the pick up. Rumph needs to pull a miracle and get Tyson at The U. We'd have upgraded our speed on defense immensely this cycle.

The development of Bethel and Dean will tell us if Rumph is a good CB coach. They have all the tools to be great. Mikey needs to get the full potential out of them.

I said it before, posts like this are major slaps in the face to Frierson, Blades, Ivey, etc (not including Gurvan bc he's pretty clearly a safety)

Someone help me understand this. The kid ran a sub 4.4 he has length and is from a Dade powerhouse that's always been good to us why all the negativity?

For 3 stupid reasons:

1. There are a lot of star whores on this board, and since the kid is ‘only a 3 star’ they don’t want him
2. He was a Gator commit who they say was dropped so this is considered taking a Gator reject
3. Many on this board aren’t half as smart as they claim to be

When will fans get that NO one will ever cleanup in FL. Its the most heavily recruited state in the country with 3 big time programs in it. This isn't Georgia, Ohio,Michigan, Tennessee etc. The major programs have little to no competition in their states. I believe even when the Canes are frequently in the cfp they're gonna lose out of Elite talent because kids are either looking to leave the state or that bag is too much to pass up. It is what it is. Recruit your *** off and coach your ***.

yup. They were slow playing him and the instant they really needed him, he shuts down his recruitment. The kid clearly wants to be a Cane and that is a trait unto itself.

For the time being we are still struggling getting the elite 5* kids, we don't do very well with the national sweethearts. We need a few of these 305 kids like Bethel to develop and take us to the next level.
