Nico Marley

Does Nico play in the Lullaby League? We ain't got time for midgets around here. Nice story to see him overcome his handicap, but please. U*** would have turned a midget like that into a tiny skidmark last Saturday.

There it is. Loved how Rohan played, but my lasting memory of him was him getting continuously and totally annihilated by the Nebraska fullback in the orange bowl when the huskers won their championship. I'm sure Nico is a similar player. Tough, fearless, fast, tenacious, but not enough size for what we need linebackers to do in our system.

all im saying is why didnt we offer this kid when he was the best linebacker on his team?

cuz Al said no more baby linebackers

give me 3 sean spences any day.. we let matthew thomas f**k us but we let this kid slide.... dont get it...

Sean Spence was great and also MUCH bigger than Marley.

Spence also got eaten up when OL got their hands on him. He was a baller though. That year we tried to play him at Sam, we saw his limitations. He was definitely too small. Put him on the other side and all he does is make plays.

My lasting memory of Warren Sapp at UM was him grasping for air as Nebraska's FB ran through him for the game winning TD, so that's not entirely fair.

I destroyed cityboycane in this thread... look at what this fool had to say....

LOL @ your ****** *** "destroying" anything other than your **** on one of your lonely weekends.

I've said a million times that Marley was a great HIGH SCHOOL player but that doesn't mean he projects to be a good COLLEGE player.

The two have nothing to do with each other. I had a 5'8" Linebacker last season with a hundred tackles. Guess Miami should've offered him too. Smh

This exactly, you can only afford one Spence on the field and you gotta make sure that one guy has Spence talent and even the same meausrables. Having 3 Spences would equal giving up 7 yds per rush.

Well he almost single handily beat one of the greatest offensive machines in CFB ever that night, while we had a poor man's version of Kirby Freeman playing QB.....

When I hear about short linebackers, I always think about Sam Mills and what he had to overcome to get respect.

"Although considered a great athlete in high school, Mill's 5'9" frame didn't interest college scouts."

He ended up going to Montclaire State as a walk-on. After setting records at Montclaire State he created a lot of buzz, but NFL scouts lost interest in him once they found out he was 5'9. He ended up getting a shot in the USFL and the rest is history. 12 year NFL career, 5 time pro bowler, 3 time all-pro.
