Nick Roberts

Kid isn't slow and has great production over last 2yrs against good competition. Kid makes plays, I like that in any player unless he's playing against a bunch of saps. We need playmakers. Kids that step up sit on a route and take it to the house. When was the last time one of our CB's did that? Roberts' #'s say he does just that. Not gonna end up here, but like Vern said, not a jag.

Go Canes!

If your gonna tell me were bringing in 3 corners better then Nick Roberts Ill be cool with not signing him

Bandy
Dallas
Dean

Dallas never even played corner he needs to learn the position if were even going there, weve talked all year about him being a safety or WR
Dean aint commit yet

SO you gave me 1.5

Dallas is coming in for the spring. He'll have plenty of time to learn the position. We don't need a freshman to come in and be Revis Island.

Does anyone think Nick Roberts can come in and play next year, and is he better than any DB we have in the 2017 class? []_[]don't recruit to be better than your back-ups. You recruit to be better than your starters.

If Deejay doesn't get an extra long look at Corner, I'll be very disappointed. What you see of him at QB are essentially cornerback attributes. Any decent DB coach can make him a solid college corner. Now, I don't know if he'll get bigger (stronger) and grow into a S.

Frankly, while he'd probably hate reading this, we may not need him to produce as desperately next year if we get Dean.

CB Young/Jackson/Mayes
CB Dean/Redwine/Dallas
Nickel Bandy/Wright (assuming we fully move Jaquan to S, where we need a lot of help)

Wouldn't mind seeing this experiment:

CB Young/Jackson/Mayes
CB Dean/Dallas/Bandy
Nickel Jaquan/Wright
S Redwine
S Someone/anyone

I'm sure they're talking to him about a lot of things, but his attributes seem to match the outside far better. Additionally, Manny Diaz's nickel historically is responsible for a lot of physical play and considerable complexity. My understanding is he's not a January enrollee. Maybe he gets thrown in Nickel at some point, but I'd feel more comfortable with Jaquan in that spot.

Bandy- probably nb
Dallas- has not played cb yet
Dean- not committed and some say needs lots of polishing, but won't be here till summer.

But nah, we can't use a pure cb with very good instincts and good tools, not even for depth.

Yeah uh actually I'll take him over redwine all day. Than again I'd probably take you over redwine too so maybe that's not the best comparison. All the same people that cry for CJ should try that logic. We all agree the staff isn't gonna take nick. Those of us that watch the game simply disagree. I think his upside is better than any corner we have on the team & other than young or Jackson if he continues to put in work it's not even close.

It is what it is, but I'm not as pleased with what you just laid out as you seem to be. That's a very "al golden" lineup. Not terrible, but not at all what you'd want to see. If your point is that we aren't completely ****ed, then ok, but beyond that I'm not so sure.

We can't take your post seriously because, frankly, we don't even know if you really exist. Until we can get some confirmation that you do, your comment is considered null and void, or illusory, or an apparition. Heck, your post might not even really exist.

I wasn't implying good news. My comment was almost directly about Deejay Dallas. The lineup is what it is...

We lack at S badly until one or two of the young guys step up and Corner is still extremely vulnerable.

I guess on paper it doesn't look any worse than starting 3 freshman linebackers, so maybe it'll be fine.
