NFL execs eyeing Golden

I can't see him staying through all the **** and then leaving right before this thing is ready to explode. He's going to want to enjoy the fruits of his labor and that's coming in the next couple years. Don't see him leaving before then.

Why isn't Jimbo Fisher being considered?

The guy has produced 2 straight first round NFL QB's and now has Winston. He would be a more attractive candidate than Golden IMO.

My post is not comparing him to Golden...FYI, just about Fisher.

I can't deny the above (first round QB picks) but one would argue he has underachieved greatly. What has he done with two first round picks at QB? Before this year, he was 31-10. 1 Conference Title and 1 BCS Bowl Win/Appearance. How many other teams have had 2 first round QB picks during that time? How many other teams had a FIRST ROUND QB playing for the last three season?

During those 3 seasons (2011, 2012 and 2013 NFL Drafts), the following QBs were drafted in the first round:

2011: C. Newton (Auburn), J. Locker (Washington), B. Gabbert (Missouri) & C. Ponder (FSU)

2012: A. Luck (Stanford), R. Griffin (Baylor), R. Tannenhill (TAMpon) & B. Weeden (OSU)

2013: EJ. Manuel (2013)*
*EJ Manuel was at FSU in 2012 starting

Not only did he have 2 first round QBs during that time, both we're taken in the first half of the first round.

In fact, his tenure (2010-today) has been first round QBs and now Winston. The only other team that could compare is TAMpon IMO. They had Tannenhill playing WR and QB in 2010, QB in 2011 and Johnny Football in 2012-2013. They fired Mike Sherman because of 2010 and 2011. Stanford had Luck in 2010/2011 but 2012 featured a guy named Nunes who was replaced by Hogan.

Stanford went on to win the Rose Bowl in 2010 (12-1), in 2011 they lost in the Fiesta Bowl (11-2) and in 2012 they won the Rose Bowl and the Conference title (12-2), that is 35-5, 3 BCS Appearances and 2 Wins.

Stanford is a private school with nowhere near the funds that FSU has and spends. Stanford has out done FSU during that time as well.

I think Golden eventually leaves for the NFL.

When? I don't know. But I'd be surprised if it was after this year.

he has said before that the longest tenure of any successful coach at miami has been 5 yrs. I think he wants to change that. If al can give us 10-15 years with a couple of titles, I think he deserves the right to move on then

Lol, man if Golden stays here for 15 years that would be fantastic. But it's highly unrealistic.

id rather have a coach that people want to steal than one no one gives two ***** about

The price the u will always pay for their success. My guess is that Golden will leave Miami after his date with the national championship.
