NFL execs eyeing Golden

I just dont see it, think Golden loves the college game too much and is a great fit for it.

I just don't see Golden being a good fit in the NFL. Golden's strengths correlate more to the college game, imo.

Bill O'Brien is a guy I may want to target if I'm an NFL GM. David Shaw could be a good fit, too.

Personally, I think he possess the qualities that would make a good NFL coach. He operates like a true CEO, evaluates talent well, and has shown here he can develop players (needs to be done in the NFL too).

And if the right opportunity presents itself, I think he'll eventually take the opportunity at the next level, but not until he's done here. He has an unfinished business mentality and isn't leaving until he's satisfied with the success and direction of the program.

He's shown he's loyal, passed up the Wisconsin job and perhaps others we aren't aware of. The care and passion he shows for the program isn't an act, it's legit, he's loves the players here, and he's given everything he can to improve this program.

Other coaches would have ran for the hills had they been faced with a situation like the one he was put through.

I do think he needs to prove more at Miami before he starts getting serious NFL interest though. Definitely sustained BCS success and hopefully a shot at a National Title (or more).

Let me ask this, why is it that the NFL always "eyes" a Miami coach? How come they don't "eye" Jimbo, Urban, Petersen, Fitzgerald, Dabo, Shaw, or some other winning program's head coach. Anytime we are about to turn ish around they start this foolishness. I swear the conspiracy to destroy Miami in one way or another is sickening.

You are over thinking things there buddy......

Al just needs to look at Schnellenberger, Erickson, and Butch to know how unloyal the NFL is and what those coaches careers could have been had they stayed at Miami.

Yeah, but he could also look at Jimmy Johnson, who is one of his close friends and say "You know what, the NFL might be a good idea."

I'm not at all saying he's going to leave. At least not anytime soon. He wants to be here in Miami. His family loves it here. Just thought it was interesting that you didn't bring up JJ.

Why does this surprise still surprise anyone? He is a rising star and will be in demand.

Think it's too soon for him. Not that he wouldn't be ready to take it on, just don't think his interest would be peaked as of yet.

His next job will be an NFL job though and I'm pretty sure he'll make the jump after we win a couple Natty's.

He's too good not to try his hand at the highest level.
