Be ourselves, chose our look (see photo above) and then shop it to UA, NIKE, Russell (which ever) and say take it or leave it, this is what we want. Done.
All these new look unis I'm seeing during this bowl week make an impact for a few minutes and then it sort of wears off. The irony is that the jazzed up designer look can only exist if there is a constant, the traditional uni from whence it came, which the team will restore itself to every other game week.
Oregon is on the verge of losing its identity, for pretty soon no one will know wtf their school colors of the brand actually are - other than being that school with the ever changing neopolitan something or other costumes. Maryland looked almost silly getting run up on by Marshall in their cream colored alice in wonderland hats. Syracuse I didn't watch, but I yawned at their gradient interrupted tagging they had for a paint job.
Washington's helmets OTOH are GOAT, atop a rather stable looking uni, which makes the radical shiny helmet that much more the eye piece. Yeah, from an attention standpoint the brand gets a good adrenaline designery hit, but the visual crashes quickly, and needs another hit fast. Eventually the addict dies.
