The hurricanes flag helmets were my favorite. I also really liked the smoke unis and their helmets because the U was bigger and chrome which looked really cool under the lights. I definitely want new, exciting jersey combos but I'm pretty sure Al has been quoted several times saying that he wants to create that "traditional brand" the way that penn state has and that includes keeping an original jersey combination.

New unis for a new era? I always kind of had the feeling they were waiting to get past the investigation to update the unis. Like they want a fresh start for the true beginning of the unleashed Golden Era.

The boosters don't have anything to do with it. It was an Al Golden decision when he first took the job. It was a Golden decision when he said no before this season and if we are getting futuristic new uniforms or classical new ones it will be a Golden decision.

I actually heard the players were selling candy bars to raise money for new uniforms. So if you see SteMo walking around campus, be sure to flag him down and scoop up a couple Snickers bars to support the cause!
