from my understand this is what happened
Shapiro was given inside information on players injury/play status since he was close with ome of the assistant coaches. This is nothing different then a news reporter having an inside source or similar to how some of the insiders here get their information. Now Shapiro used this information to gamble, the coaches denied knowing what Shapiro did with this information but figured it was a fan wanting to know.
Shapiro thinks this is just like point shaving but he gives himself too much credit.
Looking at the amount he lost, I am guessing that some of the information he got was just guesses.
Should Miami be worried about this with the NCAA? nop!
but it is another crappy article about us in the SI so there is that.
The NCAA wants this over with with saving face & same with Miami.. this will not go on past this point. Imagine what will happen if NCAA opens up a new investigation and stalls?(which it will) they can't keep throwing themselves in front of a car.
This article will cause FSU, UF , OSU, PSU, VT fans to fill up the twitter feeds and their boards but it will be gone once we beat FSU at home!
