Ball 915. Fair enough. Intermittently I have had many of the same thoughts. If he doesn't work out they will make a change. The big decision is what will I or you do. I have taken a break from the Dolphins. I pull for them from a distance because I see no hope. I honestly think they are and were committed to winning but it's been 42 years since they won the Super Bowl. I can't do that with the Canes. I'm encouraged by the good things. He can recruit and has been through the baptism of fire under adverse circumstances. Don't you think he deserves a couple of years more to prove himself with a better roster?
 
I much prefer this hokey version of 'Chise to the grenade-tosser that left a few months back.

I don't see my post as "mopey" at all.

I'm just as optimistic about this team as the next guy, but I am also realistic.

Coaching definitely needs to improve drastically, and we still need proven guys to step up and be vocal leaders (ie. Ed Reed, Al Blades, etc...).

I'm not ready to just go out and compare this squad to one of the best teams ever fielded in the history of college football. That would be a bit of a stretch.

Coaching needs to improve? Have you coached football on any level? What the **** would you know? If you call moping about our defense constantly "realistic" then you should probably just root for another team. You sure you aren't a Semenhole or a Gayturd?

I have to admit I am getting sick and tired of posts like this. People are trying to be positive and get pumped about the season and here we have this mope in disguise trying to ruin the mood. We are on the verge of finally winning that 6th title, while still under the ominous cloud. Either join the cane family or get lost.
 
I'm the eternal optimist. Doesn't matter who the coach is or how bad we were the year before, when the season is approaching I'm convinced we're going to kick ***.

Brick by brick, golden has layer the foundation for another championship run. Shannon left the foundation cracked and the building about to fall apart. Golden has tore down that same building, and created a building that would make any architect swoon. Look at the studs he has stockpiled. Guys like Arab money and Kevin Olsen are going to have this team in the ncaa playoff. When we see Golden hoisting the ncaa trophy, you all will believe. The future national Champs will impress Nick Saban. I imagine how that phone call will go. Nick Saban, the current king of football will ask the future king of football how he did it. How did you turn a horrid 2013 performance to one of the best that sports has seen. While golden is dressed in his best Tony Montana suit, gold chains, feet on the desk with a cigar in his mouth, talking in his blue tooth headset. He utters the words, it's a u thing, you wouldn't understand.

Pathetic? Positivity and enthusiasm are suddenly pathetic? We can't win with you guys.

I can't speak for these other fine gentlemen, who appear to have taken D$'s post to heart and are genuinely trying to be enthusiastic, but I had a Grinch moment after I read D$'s post. Remember when the Grinch's heart started growing after he had that life-changing encounter with a Who? Did the Who's from Whoville **** in the Grinch's green face when he realized the error of his ways? No, sir. They welcomed him with open, loving arms.

I'm reaching out to the guys who were right all along about this team. The guys who remained upbeat and positive during the tough times while some of us cracked and got weak. We let our hearts get hard and our personalities to get coarse and caustic. You men need to be the Who's to our Grinches! Be Who's from Whoville! Welcome us back into the fold!
 
I was being negative before but as the season approaches I've gotten excited. I'm ready and I think Alfred Golden is going to have nfl teams calling inquiring about him when this season is finished. Mark my words, this is going to be a season we can all celebrate.
