Again, from a "business" decision sense the stats say Miami is the choice as well. Then again buisness means profession and making money to me, not college accolades.

no clue, but, will go w/ the hometown school if i had to guess. you will be right when you go w/ the hometown school 9 out of 10 times.

That doesn't matter. The stats might say that but the only thing that matters is how Thomas feels about it, and he was very clear...he would get developed for the next level at Alabama.

Paraphrasing:

Will decide Wednesday at 9:15...down to USC, FSU, Miami, and Alabama.

Breaks down the schools.

FSU: I liked them growing up, liked the U too, but liked FSU...I could go there and play early with a lot of guys from Miami.

Alabama: Get ready for the next level and win titles.

USC: experience something different and good academics.

Miami: Play at home and in front of family, play early, and good academics.

Says he's been talking to his mom and his little brothers. They tell him schools, and what to look for etc.

Claims he'll know by Tuesday night.

Nobody caught this? Dude loves the Noon espn2 slated games. /lock

Lol.

I think some of yall are officially in denial. He woukd rather play with miami guys in fsu than at miami. Thats all you need to know.

Hes going to fsu. Imo

Lol I was gonna say, I'm pretty sure the numbers this past season read something like......

61 from Miami to 30 from Bama in the pros this year
6 from Miami in the Pro Bowl to 1 from Bama and no defensive players

They test for PED's in the pros.

Play in front family
Play with friends
Good Academics
History of players at the next level
Plenty of playing time available
Coaches recruiting him still around

Obvious choice is obvious.....

FSU

obviously.

This kid is going to Bama. Don't believe me, just watch.

Doesn't seem like he has a sentimental feeling towards any of the schools. Not about family, or feeling at home with him. He's just making a "business decision"

Alright just got off the phone my info guy and he says aint no way mom is letting #6 go to a school 8 hours away and that Thomas has mentioned quietly about handling his recruitment like Tracy did last year. My 6.5 is now an 8.5. I feel very good about this.

You get all the reps if Collins and Thomas are Canes.

If not, BRACK squad be ready.

One thing I've thought about as it relates to 6 is the immense pressure he must feel on this decision.

There are certain pockets/communities of America that seem to be EXTREMELY close knit. They struggle together. They succeed together. They fight together. Compton. Brooklyn. Southside of Chicago. Atlanta. These are places where poverty is quite prevalent and for lack of better words, "all they got is each other".

I haven't been there, so I can't speak to the severity and intensity of their passion for their neighborhood, but it seems to me like Overtown and Liberty City are communities like the one I mentioned above. OT seems like an extremely tight knit place and it can't be easy to for all intents and purposes leave OT. It's not like he's leaving OT and never coming back, should he choose to do so, but that I think, makes it all the more difficult to leave. For contrast, Harrison Barnes didn't have that problem. Ain't no communities like OT in Iowa. He gave the hometown a courtesy look and then bounced when it was time to go make something of himself. He has probably moved his family from the area and forgotten all about Iowa at this point. 6's situation is quite different. The community team is the Hurricanes and they have provided the Hurricanes with some phenomenal football players in the past. They grew up on the Canes. 6 would be stiffing the community and the communities team should he decide to leave or at least that is how some would view it. Is that fair? **** No, but it's certainly the way some will portray it.

It's a **** of a decision and I would actually give him more credit for making the difficult decision and going to FSU, should he feel that Tallahassee is where he's most happy. Miami, at this point, is the path of least resistance.
