New LB Offer

My man, you missed the point. Avery wasn’t even offered yet...he picked it up on the 17th of February and committed in May.
What point are you trying to make???? Go ahead and tell me that Huff, from a feeder school, committed because of Patke

I’m saying there is not a single recruit anyone can point to that Patke pulled that wasn’t already strongly considering Miami. I expect this to be the case in the future too. It was a lazy hire as the 10th coach and a lazy hire to make him Co-DC

A “feeder” school? Lol their top 3 prospects with offers just dipped. You can thank Clappy, Shannon, and Golden for ruining the “feeder” school. Richt is just stagnant there right now.

SFL guys have shown to be whiny, entitled, and soft. Thank goodness we're actually leaving the state to get some actual football players and not a bunch of guys who are looking for a path to da league.
I loved Diaz but his recruiting paradigm of trying to get everyone from south Florida similar to Shannon made me cringe

My kids attended/attend Westfield High School. I have watched him play the last three (3) years. He was a star running back both his sophomore and junior seasons. He played full time LB this season as that is where his future is and where he best helped his team. I watched every game with his dad last year (junior year) because one of my daughters was captain of the cheer squad, and we stood in the same area. Very nice guy. I believe he is related to an Asante that played in the NFL (cousin?).

Eugene's offer sheet has blown up the past month or so. I know Virginia Tech and North Carolina both have offered. WHS historically sends a lot of kids to VA Tech (e.g., Sean Glennon and Eddie Royal). Although, some kids have gone elsewhere - Mike Glennon to NCST and a running back whose name totally escapes me to Penn State. One of his teammates, Taylor Morin is committed to Wake Forest. I have no idea where Eugene is looking to go.

Amazing where we live and we have to go to fugging VA to recruit a kid like this.
I've always thought we should get into Virginia to recruit more. There's some really good players there and the competition is wide open.

But I agree with your point in general.

Yes, we need to further the lineage of Alex Figeuroa, Travis Williams and Ryheem Lockley.

cmon man you know what I meant. There's some good ballers up there every year but yeah we end up taking scraps, like this one appears to be as well.

You know what I meant though. Oh and the last LB that we flipped from VT was Jawand Blue right? Didn't exactly work out either.

Thanks, VA. How good is he?

I'm just being a ****, you're right, the Tidewater is usually loaded with guys. The bigger issue is that by the time we get our pick, it's the guys that VT/UVa/Florida/FSU/etc. don't want or the guys with grade issues.

Alabama's #1 class has more players from Maryland than from south Florida.
Clemson has the same number of players from Virginia/Maryland as they do from south Florida.
Georgia has one south Florida kid.
Oklahoma has one south Florida kid.
Ohio State has 0 south Florida kids.
Texas A&M has 0 south Florida kids.
LSU has 0 south Florida kids.

The south Florida thing is about as relevant as our 2001 title.

He is a great athlete. Unfortunately, with my daughter graduating last year and my son's ice hockey commitments, I only saw a couple of games this season with him at LB. However, everyone raved about his play at the position, and he is seeing the fruits of it. My son said TCU and UCLA also have offered among others.
