new jerseys for 2014

This is not penn state.......miami is a modern city with diversity n miami should always move foward and change with times like it always. If we go old school I would really think we r penn state jr. staff and all. I would guess it would be something modern if I had to guess.

What was, and should be again. Just give us a god**** modern update on this and quit with the stupid ****.

End this thread right here!

Now that this is settled..............

I agree with all these guys.

There's always throwback gear out there. Kids like the new stuff, but vintage stuff sells just as hard...so it's popular too. You have to have a balance.

The best thing Miami could do, since everyone loves some of the cooler/older unis is to have a newer set of unis that modernize and step up the game--and then have some throwback alternates once or twice a year.

I mean...how freaking awesome would it be to not only have awesome/modern main uniforms (with about 5-6 available combinations overall), but to see us run thru the smoke in the 2001 uniforms for a big game? And then for another big game, see the the late 90's uniform? That would appease pretty much all parts of the fanbase, and would appeal to recruits as well.

Exactly @ Fzac. Spot on. There's nothing wrong with tradition!

Just nothing old........stay modern thats the miami way like it or not.

The thing is, Miami has always **** on the tradition mold. That's what made Miami, Miami.

So, yes, there is nothing wrong with tradition, but UM doesn't follow the steps of USC, UT, and Alabama. Never have, and hopefully we never will. I like our untraditional traditional approach. Get NCs and be swagged out while doing so. Not look like your grandfathers Nebraska team. I have no desire for my Canes to look like f'n Penn State.

I'd be cool with that.

The baseball team brought back the pinstriped uniforms from 2001, wonder if that's the direction football's heading in as well.

Those Louisville unis r horrendous, bama is the only traditional one thats fine cuz the unique helmets. But tradition is for old heads n its boring, im all about winning but if we can look modern n good at the same time thats cool. I would be ok if they rocked old skoo once in ablue, dem smoked out shyts were fire but if they can change the jersey n pants it b better. The smoke helmets were just great everyone i kno was loving those.

I'm an old guy, but sure as **** not stuck in the past. Wear whatever the kids current like - just win. I like the 80s-90s look . But, whatever. I'm good with whatever is winning.

Still remember the UNC game where we broke out the green and gold jerseys from the 60s and Tyrone Moss ran all over them boys. It would make too much sense to do something like this, all we can do is pray.

THIS + 1000000

:ohlord: Ya'll are more enamored with what we did in those jerseys more than what they look like. Those high school jerseys don't cut anymore guys. I'm for beating down teams the way we did in those jerseys, but to actually bring them back would be very uninspired on Nike's part.

Miami broke the traditional mold by their style of play, not uniforms. What made Miami, Miami was revolutionizing the way college football was played, i.e. Jimmy's attacking 4-3. What made Miami, Miami, was beating the **** out of people and talking **** while doing it. THAT was breaking the "traditional mold." That was what "being swagged out" means (or used to anyway). We aren't Oregon, where their "****ting on the traditional mold" consists of coming out in clown suits every weekend.

**** looking like Penn. St. We play exactly like them. Even worse.

Love your comprehension. My point is we aren't a traditional, traditional team. I don't want to be associated with them. I said nothing about jerseys swagging us out.

I really dislike the all white uniforms. In my opinion we should always have green or orange as either the pants or jersey base color (or both for home games). No white & white anymore.

I'd rather have all white than all-orange. Really do not like that look. Less is more. Simple is best. Nothing flashy. Don' make it so busy that it takes away from The U on the side of the helmet.
