New depth chart

I think part of Dorsett's issues are he is being used incorrectly. He needs to be used in the deep passing game, like against UF.

I'm gonna have to go ahead and predict a breakout game for Dorsett at USF.

all dorsett can do is run deep. his route running is bad. alot of the bad throws by morris look to be plays were dorsett ran the wrong route.

Do you think his route running is more on him, or the new wr coach?

Route running is the same no matter who you're wide receiver coach is most of the time. They might prefer different break pass moves or starting out on your inside or outside foot or blocking strategies. But most players are given a route tree in high school that covers almost any route they will ever run at the next level. It's on him and Morris to get in sync

I just like how every time Ladarius Gunter gets a little pressure from someone coming to take his spot, he has always responded by elevating his game..... i guess he separated himself again for the time being.

Tyriq McCord pushing for 2nd string at OLB, which means Miami is ****n stacked at the position.

Beau Sandland looks like how is about to pass Asante Cleveland.... he is better so thats a good thing.

I'm glad the coaches seem to be done w/ the Kehoe (or the Golden) shuffle and is keeping Bunche at 2nd string where he belongs....

Not sure if the competition at Center is only about McDermott being hurt or if Wheeler is actually pushing for the spot.....Jared Wheeler is a bigger Center then Shane McDermott and might be a better run blocker then him b/c of it.

Gus Edwards looks like he is about to crack the #2 spot..... it doesnt matter unless the coaches decided to limit Duke Johnson's carries again, which they should do.

Stacy Coley is about to take over at Punt Return and Kick Return w/ Duke Johnson.... much more lethal combo then w/ Phillip Dorsett.

Glad Eddie Johnson is gone. Figs, Armbrister and McCord are providing more than enough production.

I think McDermott might just be broken physically. Coming off shoulder surgery and was in a boot on Saturday. It's a good thing Wheeler has been groomed as a center.

I think the addition of Beau as an "or" is because we will see him on the field in obvious passing situations. He seems to be the best pass catcher of the bunch.

I agree with the assessment of PD, he lacks short area quickness. Therefore struggles to get open on anything other than a Post, go, Flag route. However, he opens the underneath and middle of the field with said speed. I see him becoming the 4th wr by seasons end. And possibly Coley and Herb starting by the end of the season.

I am VERY surprised however that there has not been a Jamal Carter sighting on the 2 deep yet. Seems to me I always see the kid making plays out there. He tackles with purpose! And seems plenty big enough.....

Offensively, the Defenses have been sliding a lot of extra deep help towards Dorsett's side of the field. It's opened up a few plays to the opposite side of the field, especially when Herb Waters is in.

Glad Eddie Johnson is gone. Figs, Armbrister and McCord are providing more than enough production.

Knucklehead Ed was a great talent, but he's the type of dude who fcks up team chemistry because he's a major distraction. No one has any clue when they can rely on that idiot to do his job or to even show up or be in the lineup. Figs is a better player and is 10000x the teammate and man.

They were splitting Sandland out wide a lot against SSU. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of that this year.

If this was last year guys like Jamal Carter and Jermaine Grace would've been on the 2 deep already.... but now the coaches dont have to put guys that arent ready on the field anymore so they are going to have to grow up faster then Rayshawn Jenkins and Deon Bush had to in order to get on the field outside of STs.

I do think the coaches plan on working Carter and Grace in the depth chart as the season progresses.

We're three deep at every position on defense. Nice mix of old and young. What an unbelievable turnaround.

The Don probably felt like he was being held hostage by that ******* ****** because he had no other options.

Grace is 10x the player that Italian meatball Gionni Paul is, and Paul played a ton last year as a freshmans. So, you're exactly right. If Grace came in last year he would have been forced to play a lot of downs before he was physically ready.

Just another one of those forgotten guys who may play a huge role on an Al Golden team. Glad Wheeler stuck it out.
