New Depth Chart for BC

Vernon and Streeter (and Marcus) would make that roster look much better.

"make that roster look better" = definitely
"make that roster better" = definitley not, outside of Streeter. What the did Vernon and Forston do last year? nada.

IS it me or does the dline look the same as last year? Still got Olsen Pierre still got Darius Smith..SMH. The more things change the more they stay the same... Gonna be a lot of disappointed fans after BC game.

Vern, I agree with you that the DL is the weak link. However ... the primary players at DE will be Chick, Green and Cain, so while not Miami-level, it's ACC-level. The DTs in Smith, OP and L-Rob are where we should be really worried. At least they're in much better condition than 2011. If we can just stop the surge, especially in the 4th quarter when they had no gas in the tank last year, our LBs are bigger and better prepared to shed blocks. I don't think it will be pretty, but it could get the job done.

You guys remember how lost McCord looked a few weeks ago? He's our backup DE. But yeah, we're better on defense...

That was his first scrimmage. Like you said, that was weeks ago. Maybe it just took him a little longer to adjust than the other freshmen. If he was an EE I would've been worried, but he wasn't.
You mean we cant judge a true freshman from there 30 second clips on youtube??

Oh if we can pencil Greentree AAs in for Thirty catches, Duke in for a thousand yards, the defense being better, and an entire offense going from little to next big thing, all on the basis of mostly Hurricane produced youtube videos, I'm pretty sure we can take a 17 yo guy telling the truth about how overwhelmed he has been.

I've said all along we are going in the right direction and think we are a better team this year. I'm just not sure that means we win more games this year than last year. My expectation level is seven. Slightly disappointed at six, but not worried. Anything over 7, I'm popping bottles. Every game, including Duke and BC, will be an adventure outside of BCC.

But lets do the **** thing.
Thanks for the analysis coach.

Not judging any lineman until I see if this team is really as strong as they are said to be.

Plenty of those LSU lineman are not all world recruits but have good caoching and Moffett.

We're not going to be good on defense, but I definitely think we'll be better.

I can't see McCord getting too many snaps in the base defense. In nickel situations his lack of size if fine though. Or like someone else said more 3-4 looks than 4-3 looks possibly.

I agree. They will probably primarily use McCord's speed as a rusher in obvious passing situations.

Can't ******* believe Porter had an appendectomy. God****, when it rains it pours for that kid.

You can't even call him injury prone, he's not sustaining football injuries. He's just cursed.

I ain't skeered.

Lot of gasbags here, if recruiters, would be star whores. Just because someone 'comes out of nowhere' doesn't mean they can't be top drawer - it may mean you, personally, don't know half the siht you think you know.

So.

Let's trot them out and see how they run.

If you don't think that Vernon (who is holding his own in a pro camp) and Marcus (who is at least still in a pro camp) would not be huge additions to that dline roster, you're insane. That's the least talented Cane dline traveling roster that I have EVER seen.

Vernon would help for sure, not sure about Forston. Dude constantly got pushed around here. Maybe with another year in UTough, he'd of fixed that, who knows? I believe Forston was just going through the motions til he got to the league. Like much of the Shannon kids. Now he'll work hard since he's trying to get paid. He left because he didn't want to go through UTough for free. So just forget him.

Man, Vernon and Streeter (and Marcus) would make that roster look much better.

Vernon (and his potential) was our biggest loss of the guys that left early because DE is a huge position of need. Streeter would have help, Forston would have done nothing.

Motivation.

Call your dog.

Then call your dog with a pork chop or a cat in your hand. Then it's real.

He was slow because he was thinking and trying to process information. Much different when it's see quarterback, get quarterback.

Nope, because we have little of either right now. So I'd take an additional dose of either.

Yeah, there's no WAY that Pierre and Smith developed over the past 9 months! UTough is a sham!
Passive aggressive troll GONNA Passive aggressive troll bro

I know dude, it's just he's such a ****ing obnoxious d-bag about it that I have to call 'em out. Should change his name to blackShannonYamBagholder.

Name calling is not welcomed on this board.. take that weak sauce back to grassy! I don't know him enough and yes he can be extremely negative. But cut out that weak name calling and find another way to say I disagree.

What is interesting about Kendall is that he may have been the best receiver out of all his Northwestern teammates. He played mostly in the shadow of his teammates. The question is how will he handle being in the spot light.

I approve this message.
I thought the same thing when all were recruited. I thought KT was the most complete WR out of the 3. Prove me right KT.

LMMFAO, yes alot of people felt that way, just look where he was ranked (209th wr in the nation, 30 catches sr year, about 2 a game) that year and what he has done here.

oh wait..........
