NCAA Update Baryy Jackson 12/29

I hope holding the team hostage and scaring away potential recruits for two years will be factored into the punishment along with the other self-imposed penalties. The length of the investigation has been cruel and unusual.

The NCAA definitely is pushing back further and further so they can try and find anything they can to use against Miami. The depths they're willing to go to with this investigation shows intent to try and make an example of Miami. If they had any serious evidence of the real allegations in the report they'd have sent the NOA long ago.

We definitely aren't skating, but the allegations will be sent and then Miami will go on the defensive IMO.

The worse allegation is that sports agent without the knowledge of coaches or the administrators took Kyle Wright to the Bahamas during the summer eight years ago according to Wright versus Maurice Clarett saying that he earned more money at Ohio State than he earned in pro football.Pryor has stated he was earning money during his whole career at Ohio State and the NCAA is done at Ohio State and is still listening to Shapiro who the FBI has described him as a "compulsive liar.We are being held to different standard by the NCAA.

I have been saying this for a while, the U is playing the game. This signals to me that the NOA is very near and the U is telling the NCAA be ready for the fight of your life if you bring an allegation of LOIC.

At this point, unless the sanctions were NOTHING or very light, it doesn't serve us any good for the notice to be served before NSD.

I expect the letter to sound like we are gonna get nothing short of the death penalty and I expect it to drop a couple weeks before NSD.

Heres the deal imo. Ncaa found nothing, so in order to justify miami's self inflicted punishments they need to find more dirt. Problem is there most likely isnt much to justify further punishment than what was already self imposed. Ncaa cant just say self punishments were enough, this is their big fish the example theyve been waiting for. So they keep digging until they have enough to justify further punishment. We'll see what happens but im confident this administration will ensure the hammer doesnt drop.

I guess you forgot about Penn State.

This is supposed to be a non-biased and independent agency. Before us, everyone thought the NCAA is a tremendous joke (see the bowl BS). After us, everyone will continue to think the NCAA is a tremendous joke.

what is going on at UNC is worst than anything that has happened at Miami. UNC facilitated academic fraud, and covered it up. The NCAA needs to take a second look

the NCAA needs to be abolished....

at this point they are nothing more than protection for the big money state schools...

IMO. Basketball will get HAMMERED...

The worse has passed for Football with self imposing.

JC

I don't think basketball will get that much.

Again

1. The coaches are all gone

2. The player involved lawyered up and got clearance

3. How many players were allegedly involved? 1?

Penn State was a special circumstance. You cant use psu as an example for anything. There was so much outrage that had the ncaa indefinitely shutdown psu's football program no one would have disagreed. This is boats n hoes nothing close to psu from the media to your averages fan's point of view. If the ncaa goes heavy handed then they will hear from miamis lawyers and **** will get real. Dont underestimate a connected woman like shalala.

I just did and this was the (PSU) first case of the NATIONAL media calling attention to the NCAA. Remember Cam Newton, remember how many people wanted an asterisk next to Auburn's name. Well nothing happened and the media forgot about it. Remember how ESPN had cars on OSU's campus during the Pryor BS with the cars and tattoos, even the HC knew. How did that end? The NCAA isn't here to be liked or applauded by the media, they are here to be FAIR and HONEST. They doesn't give 2 $hits what the media thinks.

NCAA can do what they want.

But I agree that our lawyers and administration will handle it as they have been handling it.
