NCAA alleges Miami ignored Shapiro's involvement

I didn't want it to come to this but this **** is about to get ugly. If you thought the tide of public opinion has turned, you ain't seen nothing yet. The NCAA is about to get crucified and bloodied in a way that it has never experienced.
I want to see Donna with face paint giving the "sons of Scotland" speech now. All hands in Cane fans , all mother fluckin hands in.

I still don't think this turns into an all out war. Both sides want this mess over with and neither side wants to deal with months, if not years, of litigation.

I'm sorry, but did you really mean to state that last sentence?

Why would we have limited his access if they can't prove, except by his own testimony, that he did much of anything wrong? Truly an absurdity of an argument.

Also, why ask for all those documents now when they could have just interviewed the AD at the time...

Random Thoughts...

Over the past few months, incidences of improper conduct on the part of the NCAA has continued to surface. Extortion letters to coaches and former players, improper feeding of questions to witnesses in a bankruptcy deposition, payment to the NCAA's key witness' attorney, payment of cell phone expenses to a convicted felon, and multiple NCAA enforcement officials knowingly involved in improper proceedings all imply or directly point to "a lack of institutional control" by the top leader of the NCAA. All of this happened or is happening on Mark Emmert's watch. It's time for accountability to fall at the feet of Emmert. He must resign or the NCAA will loose what is left of their credibility.

What we are witnessing now is a coordinated COVER UP of massive portions by the NCAA .If the NCAA is allowed to wash their hands of their own wrong doings and then turns around and judges its own membership, the NCAA will no longer be in a position to govern effectively.

I would really like to know, who supposedly got these emails. I mean, the NCAA didn't interview any of our 3 ad's, any of the head coaches, I doubt Shalala was notified. So we are getting loic because some staffer was told about Shapiro. This is hilarious

Seems like this is going to get bloody, the NCAA is pulling out all the stops in an effort to salvage their reputation.

They can't.

Oh i'm sure it's somewhere down there. They'll try and pull it out.

"CORAL GABLES, Fla. (AP) - Citing massive impropriety by the NCAA and how it handled the investigation of Miami's athletic department, the Hurricanes want the case against them thrown out altogether and formally filed a motion Friday - as did three former assistant coaches - to have the case brought to an end, said a person familiar with the situation."

How long do y'all think it takes them to review our motion and dismiss it?

Don't think they'll dismiss it. Think they will push for minor scholarship reductions in an attempt to save face, they will try and hit the sweet spot where it's not quite worth it for us to sue.

But ****, hopefully the Infractions Committee has a bit of integrity and realize they are being handed a ****-covered timebomb, and immediately toss it.

I meant dismiss our motion to dismiss the investigation. I'm sure they'll push for sanctions to save face too.

Ah, gotcha.

We'll probably get a "I'm sorry, but we don't have the authority to do that." This of course from an institution that likes to make up **** as it goes along.

Chris is a good man. He is a lawyer in Tampa with a good firm. He was a Nole DB back in the day, but he is no dope. He is very smart, litigates big cases, knows the rules of evidence and I hope he gets selected to hear the case.

You know, how I know, Christopher Griffin is lying?

He works for the NCAA.

No these are the things they asked us in the NOA but the university didn't publicly release that information so the NCAA released after they were gettting pummeled by public opinion. Sounds bout right.
So ... They have or have not finished their investigation?

That's what I am confused about. They had 2 years to investigate. Why are the still asking for stuff? UM should tell them to F off.

So by asking how Miami handled Shapiro, they are "alleging" Miami knew but ignored what he was doing?

Maybe I'm st00pid, but I'm pretty sure the NCAA has not produced any evidence that Miami knew of any improprieties... So how are they alleging it?
