This thread shows how far UM fans' expectations have fallen. UM fan now jumps for joy when most of our commits sign. The whole concept of flipping other teams' recruits or getting the other top local players is now foreign to UM fans.

Sad ****. It's like watching grandpa shrivel up and die in a hospice bed.

Since when has Miami been a place where we owned signing day? Miami commits generally all have the same profile. Generally very quiet recruitments. Even our late adds don't troll. Coley. Very quiet. Howard wasn't tipping his hand either. Bush? McCord? Anytime a big time prospect has alot of **** to say then I expect we aren't getting him. Been that way for as long as I can remember.

Right. And those are the old days.

On top of that, when we were beating fsu with supposedly lower ranked players we were even or better than them in the coaching department. That's clearly not the case now. We're at a decided disadvantage there, so where do we make up the ground if the top teams have better coaching and are acquiring better players?

True but I really don't think jumbo Fisher is that great either just hard to lose with that team he had. Kinda like that Larry guy

Random, but I thought you'd enjoy:

@SBNationCFB: "I obviously chose Florida State for the academics," Danny Kanell says with a smile. ESPNU set erupts in giggles.

Would anything have Been different if the staff simply had 0 official visits over the last two weeks, instead used that $ to fly to Hawaii, and made a few phone calls/texts from the beach?

Me thinks not

Chad Thomas goes to 'Bama
Brad Kaaya goes to UCLA

How's that for ya?
