The **** is gone and the momentum has finally turned. Better talent coming in all the time... We should be fine moving forward...

If you actually hate Golden, just say it. Stop beating around the bush by taking every opportunity to crap on the dude. Are we national contenders, no, but were certainly better all the way around (program and talent-wise) than we were 3 or 4 years ago...

Not necessarily. Depends on the program and the situation. In this case you've got a lot of players that were offered because we needed bodies (remember Shannon left us with almost no DBs on the roster), and given the NCAA situation, we couldn't be as choosy as we'd like. Now we are starting to pick up in recruiting, and the marginal players are starting to get squeezed out. But even that positive, the whiners have to try to turn into a negative.

Seems pretty high, but I don't pay attention to other program's roster changes.

I will say that when a new coach comes in there's usually a lot of changes, but that's in the first year or two, not going into the fourth season.

My roommate went to high school with dortch, so he hung out in our room pretty frequently. He's the only player on the team that I really knew on a personal level and he was a really nice guy. I don't know much about how good he is, but it's a shame to see him go.

I will say that when a new coach comes in there's usually a lot of changes, but that's in the first year or two, not going into the fourth season.

I believe the numbers is unusually high simply because of sanctions. This teams has to get to as many of the 9 scholarship reductions out of the way as fast as possible. If a guys is a JR and not in the 2 deep chances are he will never make that jump. Also the guys who were lost due to career ending injury or being kicked off the team for extreme conduct issues really can't count toward these "attrition" numbers.

I do believe when Golden first got here he was not ready to recruit South Florida, he didn't have the skill or relationships to get it done on a high level. You add that with the NCAA bomb and you get these results. There was a lot of reaches in 11 and 12 class, because that is all the staff was capable of at the time. We can now see that changing and the recruiting results are better, than they were years ago.

In a seriousness, I still couldn't believe some thought he ever had a chance of starting here when we offered him. People kept saying project, that was an understatement.

At the least, he's contributed to the team, so it's no hate or anything towards him. He was sold the dream of playing QB here and that was a disservice to him.

I don't know for a fact one way or the other but I doubt it. Moreso if a guy at OSU or UF or whatever who never played decided to transfer we wouldn't care. Here we have a tendency to anoint some young guys who havent done anything so it seems consequential when they leave. In terms of actual production Dortch leaving is meaningless. It affects depth just like everything does.

We have lost about 10 guys for off the field **** which definitely has hurt. Others we either never going to play or see very limited time in the next couple years.
