Per Blostein:
views Miami as the likely leader for Carr with Colorado and Auburn also in the mix for his services. I expect him to trip to Coral Gables soon along with Colorado. If FSU were to heavily pursue Carr, I'd like their chances to land him. But that's not the case right now and I don't see that changing in the immediate future.

Lol don't worry now they don't want him

Last year they had Jurion ****ey wanting to visit along with Pleasant. Both told FSU they had real interest. Norvell decided not to bring them out. So nothing surprises me.

Do you guys agree with this? Should we approach recruiting the same way?

Yes to an extent. Smith/Flowers elite route runners. Addison/Tutu elite speed. It’s always been the case. I think the way offenses are schemed now definitely help smaller WR’s because defense are needing to play more zone. It’s no longer 1-on-1 WR vs CB on each side of the field.

Uhhhhh, I thought this was already confirmed years ago. Look at all the best WRs in the league right now. They are no taller than 6’1 except for a handful of guys. They are all fast and quick players that you can deploy anywhere on the field and will create separation quickly as the ball gets out quick in modern day football. The part they leave out is that it’s also not size as functional strength. Players like Devonta even though skinny is strong enough to beat press coverage.

All of these receivers are tremendous powerful for their size, excel in releases and route running along with their ability to get vertical.

Does that mean this post is wrong? No. But it focuses on the wrong things.

Its speed and acceleration first. Height and weight come after that.
