Name that Miami likes at WR

So if Emory was a 5 star, and he performed the past 4 games and since arriving at UM, EXACTLY as he has, you’d have a completely different opinion about him.

Yeah, I get it.
Yes. He hasn’t done anything yet. Jake Garcia also lit up terrible teams. I don’t know why you have a problem with this. 55% of 5 stars end up being good enough to get drafted. 6% of 3 stars are drafted. Stars matter. How many times does this need to be discussed? 🙄

Evals matter. **** a star. Stars are for mental midgets and lazy recruiters.

you can sell emory but he hasnt played much or honestly shown much for any casual fan to think hes the one. no one is gonna buy 10 passes or so as the next hype beast. bring in comp and let them battle it out. if emory beats our x transfer QB, roll w emory and lets ride. you cannot hand over the job to emory based on a few series against weak comp. even TVD had to split time w Jake agaisnt Central Conn and got the job over jake when jake was out where it wasnt a battle anymore. he then proved his worth.
facts

Yeah i get what people are saying. But the reason i asked about Emory is because he is already in college and by all reports is much better than people thought and what he was rated. Im not arguing about Judd v whichever highly rated high schooler. Its a college QB v a high schooler. It seems lost on most what am saying.

U may think u know what a high school QB is. But the coaches can show them film of Emory, limited game film yes but also extensive practice film against college players including our own. Also we got 2 highly rated WRs and by all reports and moving the right direction for others with no top ranked QB but Judd

But once people latch on to certain narratives, evidence can go to L before they change their minds 🤣🤣🤣🤣
IMO once Luke arrives its his job to lose I think hes that good and will shoot up the rankings. If that isnt a top 3 QB that cycle I would have to see the other 3. I think Luke wins that natty for us, its usually the 3rd or 4th QB in a elite recruiting HC's cycle that start to get it going going. It turns into machine work and thats when you got Miami back and the monster has arrived.

Tate was a 4 star. And yes they still fail. So? We’re selling 2 unproven 3 stars over an unproven 5 star at Alabama

55% of 5 stars? And 6% of 3 stars?

And how many QB's of each are there every year in total, for every recruiting cycle??

:encouragement:

Look up "denominator effect" and then we can chat.

There is a large difference by position in 5 star performance in college and even more so in the NFL. QBs especially hard to project.

Stack em up in college, play the one, you think is best, hope a couple others stick around and tell the rest good luck when they hit the portal.

Did you know they assign stars based on evals? Crazy
The services have moved to using college offers as much as their own evals. Thus, it is college evals BUT how do the services know if the offer is truly commitable? This is how Bama has a bunch of 4-5* QBs but none are good. The services overweighed the Bama eval.

Bro this is extremely simple stats. If you were remotely correct Miami would have been great the last 15 years and Alabama would have sucked.

Yes, there are more 3 stars. Duh. What do you think your point is? That because there are more 3 stars it dilutes the good 3 stars? What makes a good 3 star? Don’t all the top colleges want the top players? Bama is dying for qbs and they chose two 4 stars over Emory last year. **** if only Saban knew of @RedSquare’s brilliant “denominator effect” which proves Emory is good, and 5 stars aren’t.

Don’t know who leads but Newberg is a self proclaimed troll who can’t be trusted with any info he puts out.
Agreed 1000% just passing it along because I know Crib said the distance was the only thing that concerned him.

Stats are true but I think for 5* QBs the percentage is lower. Up until recently tho 5* QBs have looked the part
