I say 8-4, but I think we'll be in every game - they should all be battles to the end. If we are able to pull out a win in that KSU game it could set the tone for a surprising year. I just can't see it though, not enough depth on defense and we won't have a proven playmaker on offense yet.

I agree with Bigpurk45....9-3 and no bowl game this year,sets us up for 2013 when we will be bowl eligible and return 10 starters on offense & 5 on defense

my predictions are almost as wrong as Dannyboy's more often than not; but my hope is that this Canes team will be physically stronger than we have been in a long while, and stronger than most of our opponents, and that will help us win a few games, despite missing so many guys who could have been leaders on this team.
 
one thing i notice is guys paying attention to all our issues/problems. But over looking the lack of depth for teams on our schedule. don't discuss guys who left from other teams and won't be replaced by someone nearly as good. and just overall that some teams are just very weak in certain areas. and i noticed everyone picking us to lose to ND but beat NC State. NC State returns its best offensive player and ND loses its only special one. NC State returns its biggest difference maker on defense just like ND does. does the home field advantage make the difference that much or is it that people just are more familiar with ND and they beat us in the bowl game a couple years ago so people got that taste still in their mouth? with that said i'll give my way too soon prediction.
