My honest to God assessment of Jake Heaps

Stephen Morris has a better comp. % than Heaps.

That should tell u all u need to know about Heaps.

My assessment: please let Kayaa be ready or please continue your miraculous recovery, Ryan! Can Morris play another year?

When is the last time a QB played at three different D1 schools and was good? Has it ever been done?

I don't expect much from him if he's tried at another school and failed I expect the same but who knows.

I don't even trust Ryan I think they all trash, I think BK is the real deal though.

I'm in wait & see mode here but the probability is ops assessment will be correct. It's hard to have a great pass completion % when your receivers drop 28 passes.

Nice write up, not.

He didn't play at Kansas for 4 years. Your research was subpar and everything you said could be gather from 2-3 articles that mention Heaps and him coming to Miami.

What you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Conclusory assertions do not make for a worthwhile assessment.

And characterizing the assessment as "honest to God" does not add any credibility.

The guy had accuracy issues going back to high school. Only a 59% passer in high school as a supposedly 4/5 star.

yall just keep looking at kansas last year he was a starter at byu which is a solid program. Dealt with accuracy problems there too.

im going with kaaya.

At least he managed to put together a original post.

I can all but guarantee I've seen more of Heaps career then anyone else here and I'm telling you heaps can play. He brings things to the table that will allow us to win games this year. It's no coincidence that he had his best season (first year at BYU) when he had the most talent around him and he didn't necessarily lose the starting job because of his talent, he lost the locker room. That's not as big a deal when your a one year rental and it's entirely possible he matured since then anyway. As for his stint at KU, it was Kansas, and Charlie Weis, what about that says success to you? A bad college coach coaching a worse college program. Johnny football would be lucky to win 6 games there. Is Heaps all world? Most certainly not. Will he be effective enough to get us 10 wins? Yes.

Stephen Morris had a better completion % than Dorsey too both as juniors and seniors.

Comparing Morris to a QB that was 38-2 at makes sense.

Can say whatever but the fact is we don't and won't know a **** thing til the pads come on.

I'd agree if Heaps didn't have 3 underwhelming years of college ball under his belt.

Look it's obvious OP isn't winning a pulitzer for this work but we all come here to read **** and it's nice to at least have somebody contributing something. And while there are alot of us here that have read up on Heaps and know most of the knocks on him and the circumstances around his career, I'm quite certain there are people here who have not so having that synopsis helps. And while Franchise's little summary was funny, sorta, I'm sure others enjoyed reading details they may not have heard.

People complain when the board is stale but when someone starts a conversation, they get slammed. ****ville around these parts sometimes.

When did you EVER hear me say that Heaps played at Kansas for 4 years? Or did I say SIMS played there for 4 years. The research I had was from ESPN. but if you were cruising for a post to write some billy madison quote there are plenty of them that arent mine with guys saying the like of "Al Golden set up Kevin Olsen to give Heaps a shot" That you can feel free to write this on.

Waiting to see, and hoping we find the right guy for the job.

Just last year, and the guy was a 2nd round pick.....
