i just want to know what mckinnie could have possibly said that changed AG's mind after he had already made it up (assuming those "sources" are legit). i'm sure Golden is completely fed up with Seantrel and his crap.

not everyone is checking up on the other thread so i figured it might be a good idea to just post it here for people to see.

he reported to practice this morning.

@BrianSeever-
"Per my solid source: Seantrel addressed the team last night and guaranteed no more problems. Apparently AG had enough and was waiting for him today to dismiss him. Kehoe and Linder brokered his return. Golden also received a call from B Mckinney last night on behalf of Seantrel. He's on a short leash, but coaches have never seen this side of him either. Worth another chance? You be the judge."

LOL at Seantrel running to McKinnie to talk to Golden for him. reminds me of when you're a kid and you do something wrong and you know that your dad is gonna whoop your *** when you get back home... so you call your mom to have her talk to him first to calm him down.

also, Joe Rose on 560 this morning claimed that Seantrel promised the team he would be more "committed" and that they would "kick some ***" this year. don't know how much of that was true quote or reiteration by the radio show.

Man that is a lie and a terrible rumor. Here is what Al Golden said straight out of his mouth. Why would you spread false rumors like that about our team man. That is just wrong

The ending to the newest Seantrel Henderson saga is a good one for the University of Miami and its football fans. Henderson, UM's 6-8, 340-pound right tackle, returned last night to the team and addressed his teammates.

He's out there now on Monday at practice No. 4, and looks really good -- as trim and fit as I can ever remember seeing him. He can't wear pads yet, but he was doing blocking drills this morning for the 15 minutes of media viewing -- and sprinting from drill to drill. His teammates seemed genuinely happy to have him back, and the offensive linemen are relieved as well.

"It's good to have him back,'' said UM coach Al Golden. "We'll see where he's at in terms of going through the acclimation process and then we'll go from there. He's got to go through helmets [and shorts, without pads] for two days.

"You guys are the only ones talking about it. There's no one else talking about it. He was away at his friend's funeral. He came back yesterday, went to all the meetings last night and now we're moving forward.

"Again, we're just trying to improve. He started two games and played 200 plays last year. That's like a lost year. We're trying to improve on what he did last year."
Golden said Henderson has to go through all the conditioning tests that his teammates recently conquered. "This is not the NFL where you just show up and go out and practice. You gotta do two days in helmets, you gotta do compliance items, you've got to fill out all these different forms. That's why we take a whole day to process everybody. It's going to take a while for him.

"We got a lot done yesterday, now we've got to get him transitioned here.''"Just to have him back and see his smiling face always makes us all happy,'' said guard Jonathan Feliciano. "He brings us up. It's going to create a lot more competition."Fifth-year senior receiver Kendal Thompkins called Henderson "a real big part of the team.
"We know the talent he brings to the team, and his personality, man. He's a cool guy and he's a funny guy to be around. Just to feel his presence again is a good feeling.'

Yeah, because Golden is going to come out and say all that to the media? Man, go back to defending Shannon on Grassy.

Why would Golden be all ****ed off with Henderson for going to his friend's funeral?

And why is Henderson a **** up for not sprinting back to practice the minute the funeral ended? You guys ever think that it must have been a pretty close friend for him to fly back to Minnesota to attend?

Good to have him back in the fold but I'll reiterate what I stated in the other thread, he needs us more than we need him. I hope the kid doesn't blow it for himself. One year of good behavior, dedication and dominant play (something he's fully capable of) will make him a multimillionaire.

I would actually be alright with Flowers at RT. Obviously he would make some freshman mistakes, but we are young everywhere else so he might as well learn on the job.

lol, get outta here with that city. first off, i never claimed it was word from God. i am passing along what some major blogs have posted on the subject.

second, big Al has a valid point that i think most people would realize when reading what you posted. AG isn't going to come out and say everything going on behind the scenes if the stories are true- he hasn't handled anything with the program that way. things that are internal stay internal.

and if you really look into what he said, he never admitted or denied that there were any problems with seantrel. are they happy to have him back? sure, any team would be. are they talking about it all day? no, maybe not. it's probably already understood what they expect from him and there's no need to talk about seantrel 24/7 in AG's office.

all in all, nothing that AG said denies or validifies the stories that were shared.

Have some pride in UM. You guys act as if you hate UM. We are the only fans that spit Venom for a kid that simply attended a funeral. What has Henderson done at UM to warrant this much venom. He was suspended once for missing class his freshman year. That was a Randy Shannon rule that stated if you missed class you did not play. The other disciplinary action was being suspended from practice for minor rule violations for being late. How many of us have been late to our jobs before? He has not done anything else but be a model player for UM. He has worked extremely hard and is in the best shape he ever has been,

What has Henderson done beside be UM best lineman at UM? During his freshman year he missed almost all of camp because he arrived late after leaving USC. Despite all that he became arguably our best lineman as a true freshman while starting 9 games. He was the main reason that our running game was so good that year.

He injured his back and had to have major back surgery. Before his back surgery, Henderson gutted it out and played in severe pain. His pain was so severe he could barely bend over, yet he still played. The kid was out there still trying to play even when he could barley walk and bend over. But we say he has not motivation?

He sat out almost all of his sophomore season recovering from major back surgery. Instead of mailing it in, Henderson rehabbed and was able to come back to give UM quality minutes. Even with Henderson no where near 100% last year, he was still our best lineman.

When Golden arrived the media and fans spit so much venom at Henderson saying he wanted to transfer because Golden listed him #2 on the depth chart. The reality was Henderson was injured and needed major back surgery. That was the only reason he was not #1 on the depth chart.

How many freshman tackles start nine game their freshman year? He did not really have a sophomore campaign because he was recovering from back surgery so how can we as fans say he has not lived up to expectations? Plus Henderson only missed one game because of suspension.

So you want to kick your best lineman that dominated when Healthy off the team because he was late for a team meeting? Besides those things Henderson has not had any off the field problems. NONE!

Al Golden is about making men out of boyz. If SH comes back in re-pledges himself to the team and has no more issues, there is no way Golden is going to hang him out to dry after the year is out. Any other talk is nonsense. Golden sees the potential in SH and wants him to see the potential in himself. If he can come to the realization, the world is his oyster.
I don't think there is any way he is back next year, regardless of his performance this year. Him and Golden have had multiple run-ins. I think both parties will agree to seperate after this season. This kid will be a 2nd round pick based on measurables alone.

Erick Flowers will step in nicely at RT next fall.

All of this. Lol At people speculating from the outside trying to look in. ******* Pathetic to bash any of these kids without having ALL OF THE FACTS. SMH maybe I should tell a few of the players to check out this site and see what they think.

poor logic.

so because i am not part of the staff, i can't give my opinion on a subject?

i'm not part of the Marlins dugout, am i allowed to say that i think heath bell sucks as a closer?

that's almost as bad as the "you can't judge a player unless you played his position at the highest level" philosophy.

and last time i checked, i have not said anything to bash henderson. i am just saying that he has proven over his career to bring more issues than we can afford. he's been criticized by the coaching staff for his work ethic, and he obviously realizes he hasn't been the team player he should have been lately- or else there wouldn't have been a need to make the statement in front of the team last night. he's one of the few left over from Shannon's era. no doubt that he is a talent. i just think we can manage to get through the year without him perfectly fine.

Didn't specify you. You quoted that "philosophy" wrong BTW. Give your opinion all you want. Like I said, I'll let a couple of the players know about this thread, and see what they Think about SOME people bashing Seantrel or POSSIBLY Being partially to completely wrong about the situation all together. BRB.

FWIW, Henderson has never been our best lineman up until this point in his career.
