without question, the Florida State Semenholes.

Someone please explain to me why these annual chokers are in the top 10 again and considered Elite? They lost 11 players to the NFL, including their best players on D (Werner, Carradine). But they beat up on the Mighty Pitt Panthers, so yeah...they're legit. Meanwhile, the Uncrowned Kings of Miami Beheaded a formidable SEC foe and gets discredited constantly. SMH

I don't mind that people doubt and hate on The U, but it really rustles my jimmies when FSU gets undeserved props. Despicable.

Winston is legit and their D is still pretty good despite the loses. I expect a dogfight November 2.

Unfortunately I haven't talked to a non Miami fan yet that didn't think we got dominated in the Florida game. It's just the national perception whether it's fair or not.

A lot of people think their defense is pretty much the same as last year (bull****) and now have the next star QB to carry the offense.

The great part about it all is it'll all be proven on the field. I'm not worried

we did get dominated, but got the plays that mattered the most. the florida game was a carbon copy of the 87 fiesta bowl. everyone agrees that penn state got dominated, but they got the turnovers and the win.

florida state is a good team and winston is a good quarterback. their defense doesn't look as good as it did last year, but their offense is much better. they're ranked appropriately.

For the same reason we're not the same team we were last year. Every team is different. They have a different QB, a different OC, DC and more, a different schedule... that said, they had an excellent year winning 12 games, and its not insane to think they could improve by one regular season game or so is it? That said, there are still 7 teams ahead of them in the polls so its not like they are being anointed. **** we're only 7 slots behind them with all our issues and baggage! By seed (not how it actually works obviously), they would barely slip into one of the top 4 bowls right now.

Bottom line is they had a very good year last year, finished in the top 10, and started the year about where they ended. I have no beef. They have to go through us, and that's all that matters. We have a chance to beat them and put them in their place. They take us down, then we haven't the right to talk **** anyway.

We definitely did, but you have to put it lightly on here or else you derail the thread .

The noles who are ranked 8th aren't overrated from my vantage point, especially when you consider the rest of the college football landscape. No team really stands out as unbeatable including Alabama. The noles have played weak opponents and done what you're supposed to do against weak opponents. To me, the rankings will take care of themselves. We win we move up. But yeah I get that every year there are several of the same teams that get a lot of hype. The worst for that all-time is notre dame. Georgia has made a run at them in recent years.

WINSTON WAS AT 90% completion rate. Ill let you play catch in the backyard with a friend... You won't hit 90%.

Ignoring my hatred for this team.

I don't know what they are...they remain untested IMO.

What we know is they finished 12-2 last year and beat Northern Illinois in the Orange Bowl. They got hit bad in the draft and lost a lot of talent, lost some coaching/coaches as well. They also recruited well so possibly refilled that talent and depth.

In 2013, they have played NOTHING and they dominated against NOTHING. As any team SHOULD do. This week and next week won't test them either. On October 19th they play @ Clemson and this will be their first test. Although this game is on the road they have 14 days to prepare for them (Clemson does not).

Louisville!

I would have to say this is a team who will not be tested at all this year.

Against UK, they won 27-13. UK is hot trash, turned it over 3 times and UK was driving but turned it over in the 4th Quarter. In the 3rd Quarter, UK is driving on the 29 yard line and throws a pick. In the 2nd Quarter, UK is driving and fumbles the ball in the redzone.

Yep, who cares. Since we play them it can only help us. If we win it looks better for us and if we lose if doesn't look as bad since they are ranked so high. This reminds me of the fans that chant 'overrated' when the higher ranked team is losing; I always think that is silly as unless that team is ranked #1, you should look at it as your team being better and should be ranked higher than whatever the team you are playing is, not that the other team should be ranked lower. This is especially true when you are talking about a close game.

I wouldve went w/ Louisville, Ohio St., and Alabama in that order.

FSU hasnt really impressed me either..... we punched them in the mouth last year and we knocking teeth out this year. Jameis Winston is a good QB, but even against Nevada which surprisingly has a better defense then that dump of a unit Pittsburgh..... he made mistakes, so he isnt perfect.

We'll see how good Winston is when he has to make plays against a Defense like Miami's in a passionate heated rivalry game.
