Morris: Bone bruise, no sprain

I must admit Im a bit mystified by why anyone would think Crow is ready to start a game. What did ANYONE see last night to suggest Crow could start against a real team? Yes he has a stronger arm than Williams, but it was obvious by the playcalling that Coley has almost NO confidence in keeping Crow in the pocket to throw or run the offense down the field. Most were safe roll outs and bootlegs just to get him comfortable. He looked stiff back there to me. Not saying he wont improve, but RW looked a LOT better than Crow.

Al Golden said Stephen Morris has a bone bruise, not a sprain. "Everything's positive ... going to be real careful with him." No swelling.

Good news for #UM #Canes: @GoldenAl just said @S_Morris17 is "absolutely'' expected back for #USF game. He has a bone bruise, NOT a sprain.

Ask Dwyane Wade about bone bruises.

Except the fact that the physical requirements of a college football QB are nowhere near that of an NBA 2 guard, when it comes to flexibility/comfort in the ankle.

No way I want Crow out there. He looked uncomfortable this weekend. Like others have said Morris needs to get reps to get in sync with the receivers *Cough* Dorsett *Cough*.

Best case scenario is that Morris gets into an early rythem, UM blows them out early, takes care of business and we see Williams after halftime

Going into ACC play I still want to see Morris have a good game where he puts up numbers, gets some mojo going into October

Lol at the knuckleheads who wanted to see Crow start this game. I think we saw exactly why he is 3rd string yesterday.

Anyone who needed yesterday to see that are watching a different game.

Double LULZ at the knuckleheads who actually propagated the myth that Williams and Crow were somehow even or close to even. Crow shouldn't even be 3rd team. I'd see what Lassiter has.

We are 4-0, guys in position, flying all over the place, offense starting to gain cohesiveness but fans needs what to bytch about. No patience. rather see the glass as half empty.

He definitely threw dimes and he has the arm to get away with it. But if there is tight coverage he could get himself into trouble against better competition.

My point is he was hitting spots that were incredibly tight with great speed. He looked pretty darn good even against USF. Those throws would have been great against many teams.

Al did an interview w/ joe rose around 6:45 am and said he is fine and will be as close to 100% as possible by Saturday. said he was fine, walking fine, signaling in plays, wasn't in a boot, not on crutches, if it was bad they'd be doing all those things. said it wasn't reinjured or aggravated or anything.

All joking aside, did Golden ever say why Crow was removed from the game? I realize he is terrible but the game was well in hand at that point. I wonder if Al was ****ed at the "dirty play" from USF and put Williams back in to put up more points.

I could be wrong, but in a long answer to Rose he seemed to very strongly suggest it was in response to Taggert keeping his 1s in and he did not sound like he approved.

He pretty much said all that same stuff last week. Then, he jumped on him after the TD pass and re-tweaked his ankle. I'm not buying the Hulk Hogan superman miracle recovery in one day. This looks like one of those injuries that keeps flaring up when he gets hit on it.
