More *****ing about the camps

YOU GUYS REALIZE THAT THIS KID GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL LIKE TWO YEARS AGO RIGHT?

Its the typical b.s. from lower level guys that he may know that they "deserve" an offer for just showing up.....

Realize alot of these guys arent um fans anyway..their bandwagoners so they hop on whatever's new and d*ckride.

So.Fla works like that...i remember a time..(i was in high school) and Rutgers was down here snatching up alll kind of kids (Cristobal) had billboards up etc....then West Virginia stuck their head in....now the new craze is Louisville.

lol @ kis stating they aint learn "nothing" good.....good for those guys...i guarantee tyou they are kids that go to high schools that dont win "nothing"....private schools like American Heritage,Chaminade...or perennial garbage teams like Dr.Michael Krop, etc....GTFOH.....

You forgot to add Mcarthur...

SFbayCane is right most schools have high school coaches working the camp. The college coaches at that particular college work with the kids that have been offered or have the potential to be offered in the coming years. This is how is works at almost all major programs though not just Miami.

If you go to UF's camp you are not going to see Joker Phillps working with a whole bunch of 5'8 WR's who run a 5 sec 40. He is going to work with a player that they feel has a chance to play at UF.

If you go to Bama's camp you are not going to see Saban given some ****ty DB's attention either he is looking for future talent that has been invited to camp not the kids who just show up.

Except we do 5 camps, a bunch of coaches can see a bunch of prospects (even darrell langham 2 star) because he stood out.

These camps allow the coaches to get honest measurements (40 time, height, weight etc.) and the best kids will stand out whether 5 star or no star.
When was Langam a 2 star? Miami saw him during spring evals too. I dont think Miami does anything different than any other school they just have all of there camps on the weekend. Where other programs have them through out the week.

He was a 2 star on rivals and is today. We have camps only on the weekend and there are 5 of them.

We offered him at the camp after personal evaluation too, we could have looked at film since his he was a fetus.

Watch out for the Joker!
Everybody does that, it is not something revolutionary he was a 4 star on ESPN

Like I said, we are able to see a bunch of prospects over 5 camps, both good and bad, high and low.

Move on already

naw thats my alma mater...lol

it made me mad to hear a kid say that a camp was tooo long??...

The kid from Heritage said that....im thinking in my head like when i was in high school we would practice during summer two a days etc...and i would still go to park in my neighborhood an play pick up games with my friends who played at other schools most of them played div 1...till the lights cut off.

And per rivals he is a 2 star. Wow, we went no where in the span of 3 posts.

ESPN = 4 Star

Rivals = 2 Star

Great!

What a crock of ****.

I worked the UM camp. The UM coaches did the best they could in terms of teaching. There's just too many **** kids broken into too many **** groups for them to coach everybody. Even with that said, they still did the best they could to rotate from group to group to get some teaching in. Even Golden would butt in to make some coaching points. Some of the other high school coaches I worked with at the camp also did a nice job of coaching the kids.

Quite frankly, if you're going to UM's camp expecting to learn a whole bunch then maybe you need to think about changing high schools. Any good high school coach should be teaching you all of the same **** anyways. You should go to these camps with two things in mind...to get better via competition...and to gain exposure.

The top notch kids got more attention? Well ya don't ****** say! That's EVERY camp I've ever been to or worked at. (the worst case of that was at the USF camp)

I brought one of my defensive kids to the camp. He's a 2015 kid and he's not a "big time" recruit yet but D'Onofrio still knew his name and treated him like he was just as important as the "top flight" kids. He also told me that he was aware of my 2014 CB who will be attending UM's camp on the 23rd.

The fields were horrible but there's nothing wrong with the way Miami is doing things at their camps. If anything, when you consider the price of the camp and the fact that they have college coaches from all over in attendance, the camp is awesome. Some kids are just salty.

Makes sense to me! Thanks for the coach's perspective.

Thanks for the insight. Says a lot about this coaching staff. We all want the old Canes back. Well those guys were not candy.... little girls who had to have their hands held. Golden made these camps affordable--**** they are cheap. Everyone made Howard a diety because he went into hoods that only Barry Switzer would go. Well, now everyone walks those streets. Maybe Golden has found a new way to find the hungry talent we need. The more I hear, the more I like this staff. Considering the hand they were dealt, they have turned in really good recruiting classes. As much as we need the DTs we all miss, we needed to fix our QB problem even more. One year with Harris makes you wonder what could have been. And Morris, he will probably go 1st round next year--imaged that. Now we have guys developing and two really hot ones coming in back to back. And the Oline recruiting is reaching historic levels. If these guys hit on a couple DTs we are going to scare the crap out of everyone again. Howard had a plan. Jimmy had a plan. Dennis, well it was hard to see it but 2 NCs is a good plan. Butch had a plan. Then planning ended. Now we have one again.

This was what I expected.

Several AFFORDABLE camps over 5 weekends. Lot of kids coming in, lot of coaches and recruiters as well. Many prospects to evaluate, some teaching, drills and work on fundamentals.

Thanks for the explanation from someone who was actually there and worked.
