Word on the street... FAU camp was better than UM

Heard Miami just wanted the top kids out there and didn't really pay attention to the less known kids.

The kids and coaches I spoke to said UM didn't teach the kids nothing. #wasteofmoney

Cot **** some of these dudes down here are so soft shouldered :ibisroflmao:

Oh noes we gave special attention to guys worthy of an offer

I'm sure alabama and florida give plenty of attention to kids without offers

Our coaches were selected for the official AFCA instructional videos, but they can't teach dammit!

You can never please everyone. The camps serve their purpose quite well and while I'd certainly like to make sure kids are getting their money's worth I just have a hard time believing there isn't a whole lot of sour grapes behind those tweets.

Golden has been landing studs because of these camps and that's all that matters. These **** poor attitudes we keep hearing about after camps is why the Don has camps to begin with. These whiners can take there soft *** shoulders elsewhere if they don't like it. Golden is going to get his guys that fit his system. Mental Toughness will be a part of this programs DNA.

Pretty sure this dude is close with Chad Wilson and U school. He's salty bcuz Miami won't offer Quincy n everyone at U school. Claims he's a UM "fan" lol. Then retweets a guy saying FSU is a better program. Dude is a major butthurt salty little *****

I have heard the same thing about FAU, been hearing that their camps are actually really good (field wise, and activities), but to say that these kids didnt learn anything from the coaches is a crock of ****, i think this guy has been talking to drummond, that sounds like something he would say

Correct me if I'm wrong but Young and Langham found the camps to be quite productive. Those two commits are much worth it in my eyes. Who ever is *****ing about it probably is a cat who thinks he's the best, but not willing to really put out the effort and therefore did not get an offer, or attention. Jealous people always trying to bring everyone else down. F'm

if you don't have an offer.. chances are... you suck..

and if you don't suck, and you can't go to a camp and prove you are better.. I am sorry but who in the world needs this? they will the same thing in college..

OH almost forgot.. we recruited

* nations #1 recruiting class
* recruiting pretty much everyone from North Western
* Tim Harris pretty much hand picked all recruits for Miami.
* Randy Shannon had control of the program

that class went

29-21 overall record and was 17-14 in ACC games. It was 5-7 against ranked opponents and 0-2 in bowl games. Nevin Shapiro was running around and nobody had any control over the players.

I will take some ****** blogger and few racist local coaches over what happened during the RS years

What makes anyone think his comments are not accurate? Its clear that coach Golden puts more emphasis on recruiting at his camps than most D1 coaches do. Given that, it seems very plausible that the staff would spend more time evaluating the cream of the crop than working with the mid-level kids.

Different coaches use camps for different reasons. UF uses their Friday Night Lights camp as a PR tool. Not so much for talent evaluation but rather for bringing in targets that are already sighted and trying to shmoozing them. Allot of lower level programs use their camps for revenue generation. Those are the camps where mid-level HS kids can get some good instruction.
