Molly McGrath talks to Behind the U about TVD and Dawson

Yes sir. And you are one of the guys who actually gets this, and understands.

Kid has gone from "oh, Coach Dawson is giving me sooooo much freedom and I love it" to "oh, Coach Dawson, I don't want the freedom, take the freedom away and tell me what to do on every play" in the span of a few months.

I feel bad for TVD for the three injuries. I don't feel bad about his MULTIPLE attempts to get paid more.

But I am ESPECIALLY ****ed off by this late-season excuse-making about "gray areas" and "not wanting to improvise".
Ok… So I’m NOT crazy. I knew that I had heard that somewhere.

There are posters here who have relayed info that TVD was not exactly a strong student of film. I can't imagine working with a QB who won't put in the time to study film.
@Brooklyndee told us.

🤷🏿‍♂️

He got negged to oblivion.
I paid attention, my bol Brooklyn did this for a living, as a collegiate and as a professional.

Proved to be true.

Great Listen. Explains alot about the rough part of the season. Also brings some questions back to the forefront about how Dawson did or didn't work with the QB room this season.

David Lake talked about what he saw as failures in their 247 podcast, too.

For me, it reinforces what I've said numerous times; it wasn't just on Tyler. He had to deal with the physical stuff and Dawson did little to nothing to help him with the offense until he had to.

Just answer this question for me please. Did Tyler not spend all of last season complaining about the fact that he had no freedom at the line of scrimmage or not? And then did Tyler not spend all of this offseason saying how he loved how he had so much freedom to do what he felt necessary at the line of scrimmage?

Exactly my point. Instead of keeping them in to block to sitting them down predictably they used sone creativity.
Keeping them in to block was due to TVD being injured. Was one of my reasons he should have been benched more for Emory. TEs were a casualty of war this year. Now they didn’t get used enough before his injuries but think it just became a Max protect issue

I am relieved TVD has moved on. He is responsible for every INT and fumbled he caused. Dawson didn’t throw those picks. Don’t forgot he held the NIL collectives hostage after Spring only to come back and cause us multiple games. Fans, players and coaches are happy to see him leave. Stop making excuses for his poor performance and his own indifference regarding single handedly loosing games. He is someone else’s problem now good riddance.
This is just simply not how football works lmao

All the speculation and shaping narratives **** is tired

Actions speak louder than words

What she basically said was they were not on the same page as the season went on and teams threw different looks they weren’t prepared for it caused dawson to be predictable and caused tvd to play like ****. Nothing is ever on one person, this is football

I don’t see how this is getting do much backlash to tyler if they sat down after 10 games and then he plays better. So whatever they talked about WORKED for the last two games.. The **** im mad at is why the **** didn’t they sit down before the season was basically ruined? Dont u self scout during bye weeks? Wtf were we doing?

Just bad looks for tyler and dawson, and mario.

Yea not the best look on Dawson that it took him that long

But also TVD shows no passion on the field or off apparently. Didn’t speak up at all as a 4th year QB and “leader of the team”

Also we need someone at QB who can improvise not a stand in the pocket nervous nelly if stuff breaks down
If TVD said at the beginning that Dawson gave him the option to opt out of plays, then its on the QB
