Getting tired of this whole *** thing. It's so popular now. You can't watch a family drama without a *** couple in the cast. Does this have to be constantly shoved down out throats now? America is trying so hard to be PC that it's getting comical. I don't care what people's sexual preferences are when sports is concerned. Martina Navratilova came out 30 years ago when she was blowing everyone off the court. Didn't matter then, doesn't matter now. I have a *** friend and we play hoops together and I'm not offended by his gayness and that makes me a better person? Swell.

Didn't care about his personal life before. Still don't. If he felt it was important to come out, good for him and best of luck in the NFL.

As much as many of you don't care about his sexual orientation, a football player doing this is a big deal. I guarantee he is not coming out because he just needs everyone to know that he likes guys. He is doing it because it truly can make a difference for other people in the future. A *** kid growing up may love the sport of football, but because there were never any *** players in the NFL, that kid may think that he doesn't belong and shouldn't play the sport. But now, a *** kid can say "Michael Sam is *** and playing football, so why cant I?"

It may sound cheesy, but its the truth. I think its pretty cool that Sam did this and I hope that more *** players come out so we can truly get to a point where being *** or straight truly doesn't matter. Football is football

So because someone speaks out and they dont like it people scrutinize them... well **** I dislike it... and trust me it will be a problem on any team he goes to... it may even hurt his draft stock...

You are a dinosaur. The majority doesn't agree with that attitude anymore. The world is moving towards more tolerance, not less.
 
to the people in here saying "who cares, why be an attention ***** and announce to the world," do you even know how the world works? NFL talent scouts were asking his agent "have you ever seen him with a girl," people were starting to talk. he just wanted to set the story straight--so to speak. announce it publicly, get it out there on his own terms, and not have any more nonsense. people can react to it how they want, he's done his part.

Im with James' brother on this one. If a guy cannot go in the women's locker room, then why is it a *** can be in the mens locker room? I have had my wife say to me that she is offended by some of the lesbians in the women's locker room at the gym we attend. She says it bothers her the way they look at her.

I mean, it is kind of hypocritical to tell men they cant go in the women's locker room because we are interested in what they have in there, however, that guy who just so happens to be interested in what we have. "Ohh its cool. No, matter of fact you should even get naked and shower!" makes sense to me.... I think we tend to blur the lines in this country on the side of the minority, and just tell the majority to deal with it. And matter of fact, if you do not agree with it you are now going to be considered, ignorant, racist, sexist, and you will get the joy of people telling you how dumb you are.... Funny but not really funny..... Everyone has an opinion however only certain opinions are accepted and if yours is not one of those then prepare for the wrath of liberal america telling you how to live.

sometimes its important to overcompensate in terms of making a show of making historically oppressed minorities (racial, sexual, gender, etc.) feel equal. you can't erase cultural prejudices by silently removing prejudices, because you'll never remove them from the people who are the biggest ********. if you make a big show of it (write a lot of parts in literature, TV shows, movies, etc.) you influence the subconscious thinking.

it only seems obnoxious if you've got beef with it to begin with. just chill.

men aren't allowed in women's locker rooms because men are physically dominant, and there's always the fear (pretty justified if you look at it historically) of a man causing trouble. try pretending all men are actually gorillas. if you were a girl, would you want a gorilla who wants to **** you chillin with you naked? but if everybody's a gorilla in the locker room, a lot less trouble if one wants to **** another.

at least thats how i see it.
