Mind boggling that Penn State returned to Glory before us

What sanctions? Pedo St were let off the hook.

Exactly. They had temporary sanctions. While Miami's weren't that bad, it was the three years of not knowing what was going to happen that truly hurt. It gave certain programs an opportunity to negatively recruit, and it's hard enough when you have a mediocre(at best) staff, but they were then further behind the eight ball.

When they finish 10-4 and then regress to 6-6 next regular season and coRch Franklin is fired, will you still believe this?

ESPN has been glorifying their program the entire time as well. A real "comeback" story. It's disgusting.

return to glory? michigan beat the crap out of them, pitt dominated them much of the game, they beat ohio st but look at the stat line in that game they were lucky with some special teams blunders by ohio. they're not even a lock to be wisconsin for the big ten championship, slow down

They play in the big10. They lose Hackensack and they win a few games. Miami would beat psu by 2 touchdowns

Penn State struggled out the gate this season, but they've been on fire ever since. Ive watched them over the last 4 weeks and they look good. Keep in mind, many of their skilled position guys on offense are sophomores. And there defense is really good - especially their front 7

Michigan beat them soundly, but they had many guys out on the defensive side of the ball due to injury

Penn State is going to be REALLY good next season. They're going to begin next season ranked in the top 3 (USC too)

I keep trying to wrap my brain around this, but I have no answers. how in the world has Penn State returned to glory before Miami, after what happened to that program? 3 coaches in 5 years, hellified sanctions, and defections from the team, left and right. After all that, this team is snipping at the heels on the fricken playoffs and a Big Ten Title

That team is young and talented, and Franklin has proven to be an excellent coach and motivator

did they return to glory? or just had a decent season?

I could easy see them getting washed against good comp

Penn State is overrated and the fact everyone forgot about their wrong doings like nothing happened is sickening. SMH :monkey-serious:

they are in the big 10... A conference of 2 1/2 legit teams yearly. Big 10 is worse than the acc year in year out imo. The fact that barry alva Shalala team is always in the championship should tell you all you need to know of that conference'

You seriously buy into the "cloud" bs? Nobody refused to go to Miami because they were afraid of what the NCAA would do.

Problem with this year of college football is that everyone randomly sucks...Alabama is the only school that consistently puts full effort and play calling into every week.
If OSU, Michigan, Penn State, Louisville, Clemson, Washington, Wisconsin, and Colorado are all over rated then who isn't?

Big 10 is enormously overrated because Alvarez completely controls the Playoff Committee. Ped State is about the most overrated team I've seen in many years. They'd be a 7-5 team playing in the ACC.

PSU in 0-1 in ACC play with their loss to Pitt.

GTFOH. There is no way that PSU will be in the top 3. Preseason? Now way.

3 coaches in 5 years right. Well one being a current NFL coach and the other, their current coach, who has shown not only this year, but also at Vandy that he is a quality coach. Do you get my point? our last 2 coaches were a used Car Salesman and a coach who had to explain to us that the walk from the locker to the field at duke made it a tough environment to play in.

Good teams and programs have good coaches, along with Shalala, that has been the fall of our program.
