Mike Harley

I know these cross-skin color comparisons are usually not allowed, but when I've watched Harley, he actually reminds me of Cole Beasley, slot WR for Cowboys. We really need a short area guy who can work option routes and help us move the sticks. I thought Berrios would be that guy, but they currently play him outside as if he were Alshon Jeffery.
Truly mind boggling to see them play Berrios out wide so often. He was showing signs of being an effective short area guy last year toward the end of the season and especially in the bowl game.

I wouldn't let Harley dyck around for all that long. We can't take the chance of being burned waiting on a second tier guy like him. And it's not good for the brand to let a guy like that dyck around with you with making your program look inferior to a shytbag joint like WVU.

Give him a deadline and move on if he doesn't give you a hard public commitment.

Exactly

I'm starting to move on from Harley... that boi ain't that special. He better watch out or he might actually end up there... recruiting is very fluid and this staff does not F around!!!

Seems they like to use Berrios out wide for blocking purposes on screens. He has little production.

He's totally misused. He's a pure Wes walker slot like guys who should only be running shallow ins/outs, drags, and maybe a slant here and there

He's got good speed, but he's not special enough to let him fck around interminably.

Probably not well known, but Venice (South Sarasota County) has always had good football teams, but STA has too many horses for them to compete with. Harley gets another shot next week against Tampa Plant. Plant's locally revered QB is garbage, throws floaters and tends to get interference calls because the DB and receiver have to stop and wait for the ball. He can and will run, but he's custodial. The STA secondary will have many opportunities for int's. Plant's secondary is not fast and Burgess (USC commit) is the only real athlete. Harley should have a big day against them. Jacksonville Lee receivers came open a lot but their QB was a sand lot type. STA big in this one.
Spot on about Plant's team. Most S. Florida teams will run through them. They are just a disiplined, well coached team and always have been since Robert Weiner took over with Robert Marve...

Sent from my SM-N910T using Tapatalk

Marve is their QB coach

i dont think harley is better than holloman or smith but i think he has more long term upside than cager or langham

He's not here just maybe the slow playing might cause him to stick with wvu . I'm with Franchise about a dead line

Langham should move to TE but I have no idea where you get the thought of Harley being better than Cager. Cager was an elite recruit and was going to start this year until injury.

he wasnt elite. a recruiting service said he was elite so he's elite? he couldnt hardly get on the field last year. AR is elite. stop.

I agree Harley should be given a "deadline" on when to commit or the scholarship is taken away.

Definitely surprised to see Harley take his time after so much smoke about how he would probably commit on the spot. Maybe he's just enjoying the ride. I agree we don't want him leading us on, but would it not also be bad optics to pull his offer a month after giving it, especially given his supposed standing among local players? Unless we've got an outstanding silent WR commit, we're also not really dealing from a position of power. We need bodies. We need speed.

+ it's not NSD EVE- Still time for this staff to fk up lot's of rosters especially when we put the boot to WVA- If Harley wants to be a CANE- He better stop playing Daddy's game & jump on this CANE TRAIN-If not then-stay commited-go holla for your team in Orlando on the 28th & try not to let your lip drag thge ground after this CANE LASHING- IT'S UP TO U MIKE JR

Fck optics. Bad optics is having a mid tier recruit dyck you around too long in favor of a nothing program like Wet ******.

I don't see all this standing nonsense either. He's just a kid. He's got no juice. Bandy was supposed to be Mr. Juice. He commits and shortly thereafter his teammate quits on us. Bruce was supposed to be the King of South Florida last year. Yet we got nothing out of his commitment.

& FRANNIECHISE- WAT'S WITH THE SLABBO PIC MAN- U DO KNOW THIS A CANE SITE RIGHT? GET WITH IT MAN-SCRUBS BEING LEFT TO THE CURB-IN OTHER WORDS-EXIT STAGE LEFT

Why do you think we dont use berrios in the slot more?

My best guess is they were trying to get the best matchups for Coley, who is really good out of the slot, actually. They did some stuff in fall practice where Coley would clear out and guys like Berrios or Njoku would benefit underneath. In real games, starting with FSU, Berrios just could not gain separation on in breaking routes and doesn't have the size to box DBs out like other WRs can. He doesn't have the long speed or the size/separation to play outside.

Sometimes i think our coaches just didn't know our players well enough to start the season. But, Berrios is still playing outside (and caught a long ball against Duke), so they obviously see something there I'm not seeing. Against top teams in meaningful games, I expect him to be consistently overmatched out there. Bring him inside and let him use his toughness.

Thanks mane, im guessing he aint that slot master that everyone thought he was
