Michael Johnson Jr to Penn State

We still don't win against Clemson last year, I don't care who the QB is. They could've hung 70 on is if they wanted and a QB isn't changing that. Do our fans watch games or does an idea pop into

Dude, just stop, Mayfield doesn't win us a ship last year. Clemson didn't beat us because of our offense, it was the defense that would still be our downfall. They could've hung another 21 to 28 points on us if they wanted to. Bryant had one, if not his best game ever, against us.

These coaches need to step their game up before ship comes out od anyones mouth.

FSU had a **** good defense the year they won with Winston. Winston was a gamer and as for Francois, they had nothing after him. They got caught up with not enough numbers there last year and a string been true frosh who wasn't anywhere near ready.

I swear, I think a lot of posters get a thought in their head and just run with it without thinking. Just get a QB, yup, that's all it would've taken.

People seem to forget Franklin, Johnson, Henry all left or was dismissed

It was jon. He camped out in ocala to get perry in the class. The friday night before a game on a saturday he flew to georgia to watch jarren play after they split sith stikowski.

I don't agree with that and it's too much to explain on a messageboard.

Believe what you want and I'll believe what I want.

I dont get what people either dont understand or forget.

We was recruiting Jarron for a long time. It's just that Pickowski committed first. We didnt just pop up in October like yall make it seem.

Its nothing to disagree with. Its facts. They way he was in oregon a lot for johnson he was ocala probably even more for perry.

If you don't like the guy for whatever reason that's fine but don't act like the guy don't bust his *** to try and land these qbs.

You have proof that he DID OTHER THAN HIM JUST BEING THE QB COACH?

Otherwise it just comes off as being a blind idiot dumb fcuking homer and giving him credit for the previous staff recruit (Perry) and a kid that the players at the Opening put the staff aware of.

& Show me these reports where Kosi mentioned Jon Richt as a reason why he came?
So let’s say neither of us has proof either way, right ? So we’re supposed to believe the entire staff recruited QB Nkosi Perry , and Jon Richt , the QB coach, didn’t ?

Nkosi was looking around after the staff he committed to got fired. You can loonaround yourself it takes two seconds. But here’s 247 for you I’m blind tho so please read the name at the bottom of the image . Now I’m sure you’ll tell me that means nothing right ?

yea according to @Tee3000 we got lucky that our recruits at the opening saw him and evaluated him otherwise he wouldn’t have gotten offered !

It's not facts at all...you're just running your mouth. I just finished going through all of Jarren's UM recruiting articles on Rivals...Only time Jon Richt was ever mentioned was when he went to watch him at a game.

Everytime the kid was quoted in reference to a coach, he was talking about mark richt bc that's who recruited him...period.

Perry was another staff's recruit and decommitted bc of the offense...Mark Richt won him over and was his recruiter.

If you don't like the guy for whatever reason that's fine but don't act like the guy don't bust his *** to try and land these qbs.

has nothing to do with like...I give credit where it's due..period.

You're just typical of the intellect of this board... Johnson's recruitment was clearly all Jon Richt...it's pretty well documented in the articles but you think that effort and these other 2 efforts are the same.

You know it doesn't thus the reason you posted it.

So you want us to give the last staff credit for landing Nkosi Perry, ignoring the fact that he DECOMMITTED after they got fired ?

Jon visited him in november and he commited in december. You are slow. Everybody knows richt recruits the qbs too but jon does the dirty work with all the visiting and shît.

what , did you watch the game ? We had multiple missed opportunities in the beginning of the game on offense . Or did you miss Jeff Thomas running wide open downfield for a bomb ? So you mean to tell me we still lose to Pitt and Wisconsin with a Baker Mayfield talent at QB ? Ok.

Did I bring up Pitt or Wisconsin?

Yes, we had some missed opportunities, but a few missed opportunities doesn't make up that scoring difference. Every team yas missed opportunities, even OU did with Mayfield.

Our defense was alright last year. Certain teams exposed the **** out of us. You probably equate an opportunistic defense with a great one, something we weren't even close to last year. If you think they were special, explain why. Anyone with a brain can shoot that stuff down.

Both sides need a lot of work before we think we belong.

No we weren't..an offer doesn't mean you are being "recruited". He hadn't even heard from us in almost a year...

"Williams originally landed a Cane offer last year, but coaches fell out of contact with him as Sitkowski came on board.

Now UM is back in contact not just with Jarren, but his family."

Jon visited once by himself and that what was in November...after that...Mark Richt accompanied by Jon visited the kid the rest of the way.

and I'm slow? Coming from an idiot, the irony is hilarious.

ignored what? I actually wrote that if you could read. Scroll up or down, click previous page or something.

You former ESE kids are the worst when it comes to comprehension and reading.

my point is , how much better was that FSU defense than ours was last year ? Since you brought them up. They also had a great offense that kept them off the field. Our defense on the other hand had to deal with an offense that couldn’t convert a short 3rd down to save its life. With a more efficient offense I think our defense looks even better than it did.

We’ll just have to agree to disagree.
I just think you’re undervaluing what our team with this talent would’ve looked like with an elite QB . We started 10-0 with a baseball player at QB an you think a dynamic player like Mayfield still doesn’t give us a chance against Clemson ?

So tell me how that staff deserves credit for Nkosi currently being on the team? Can you do that ?

Address the fact that I didn't ignore that Perry decommitted.
Ok. I missed your post as I was typing mine . Congrats . Now address the fact that you think the previous staff deserves more credit than Jon Richt for Nkosi currently being on the team

I don't recall writing or implying that the last staff deserves the credit..if I did...that wasn't my intent....I was trying to make the point that it was a former commit so it was somewhat easy to get him back in the fold, nevertheless, that was all mark richt too....did John play a part? Sure he did as the QB coach but up until Jon Richt being hired at Miami.....he had never recruited anyone before so isn't safe to say Mark Richt ran point on getting Perry back in the fold?

The least accomplished coach spent 5 grand on airfare and lodge while spending essentially 0 time with any other QB's. That's a pretty minute investment for the position.
oh for the overall position I agree. But Richt JR went ALL IN on Johnson jr, I think that much is completely clear. Just like its completely clear he has ****ed up two times in a row. First with ****kowski and Now with Johnson jr. And this yr he had a MUCH better QB who actually wanted to be a Cane and he basically couldn't give less of a **** about him, and now that kid is going to Clemson.

And last year we had Jarren to fall back on late, this year I'd actually prefer us not to sign a QB tbh, then hope that all 3 current freshman stick around for next season. Then get a QB or maybe even two in 2020.
